"I think she's got real problems," McCarthy told Steve Doocy off-air ahead of a live "Fox and Friends" interview. "I've had it with ... I've had it with her. You know, I've lost confidence. ... Well, someone just has to bring a motion, but I assume that will probably take place."

With "Fox and Friends" like these, who needs enemies??

Liz survived a vote after impeachment... will she survive another attempt?

I hope so...although I seldom agree with her, I would like to see a "real conservative" party replace the Trump Party that the current Republican Party has become.

Yeah, I saw that... he wanted to avoid a "summer" in Florida.... which is funny because we're just past the halfway of spring...

But where ever he plants/humps his flag, he still has the political gravitas of Benny Hill

I was just now watching an MSNBC segment on this issue, and one of the talking heads brought up a very relevant point.

Why would she WANT to represent the current R Party? She's still mostly where she was when she was elected, but most of the public voices of her caucus have relocated to the hind quarters of a con man...

Obviously, nobody wants to give up hard achieved power, but at the end of the day, it's a very uphill battle against people blindly rolling down the same hill.

One thing is a mortal lock... there's no way this upcoming leadership vote will be anything other than a secret ballot (again), because if she wins (again), several somebody's are going to have a hissy fit (again)

There are people in both major parties, as well as other parties, who are honest people holding mistaken beliefs. IMO, January 6th was her "breaking point," or "the straw that broke the camel's back." Not just for Cheney, but other Republicans as well. Or, if you want a colder, more calculating reason, she's betting that Trump won't be around for the 2024 election be cause of age, illness, or simple disinterest and the those who break with him now have the best chance for future Party leadership.

Solid political analysis! I hope she's right, not that I want another Cheney anywhere near the real reins of power...

But you have to completely break, which she has now done, and not be flip flopping like Haley and Christie and others..

OTOH, I really think he'd be easier to beat than almost anybody out there.... his hatred is still stronger than his support...

IMO, a great mistake is underestimating opponents. Because Cheney holds different political views than I do, does not mean she isn't smart. And, I suspect her mother, also a smart person, is the family ideologue, not the father and in fact that Dick Cheney (a good administrator) came to his ideological beliefs via his spouse. The daughter may have as well.

I have yet to look at her voting record, so I'm not sure on the "Sins of the Father" angle ...

Who said she's not smart or is being underestimated?? Not I... I wish her well in this fight against the Neanderthals...

But if her ideological beliefs are anywhere in the parking lot of the ballpark of the dad, hard pass for even being considered in my house.....

Liz Cheney wouldn't know anything about whether the election was legit or not.

Didn't mean to suggest YOU underestimated her intelligence...just expressing a common mistake. And, I probably agree with you more than I do with her on policies.

All due respect, but I could not disagree more. He is the leader of the republican party. They are the Trumps party. They still listen to that crap, and he will keep the lie alive as long as he can monetize if for his own gain.

Think about this for 5 minutes........

Liz Cheney is actually talking about facts, and talking with basic common sense, and the Republican Party is trying to remove her from office. The republican party has jumped the shark when Liz Cheney is seen as a radical who must be removed for talking about facts and basic common sense.

I'm pretty sure I had this in about 10 seconds.... I'll donate my remaining 4:50 to somebody who claims to be a conservative, but is pushing for actions against her...

Biden says the GOP going through a 'mini revolution' as party moves to oust Liz Cheney

(CNN)President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that he thinks the Republican Party is going through a "sort of mini-revolution" amid the push by GOP House members to oust Rep. Liz Cheney from her leadership position.

"It seems as though the Republican Party is trying to identify what it stands for and they're in the midst of a significant sort of mini-revolution," Biden said in response to a question to CNN's Kaitlan Collins during a White House event.

"I think the Republicans are further away from trying to figure out who they are and what they stand for than I thought they would be at this point," he added.

    ... ctd: https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/05/politics/joe-biden-liz-cheney/index.html

He also went on to cite someone in the news, saying that "we badly need a Republican Party. We need a two-party system. It's not healthy to have a one-party system."

Best president in a LONG time! First major-party president I can remember who has displayed this level of concern and sensibility for the needs of the country, and so little concern for himself by comparison.

Something must be wrong with you if you still think the election was rigged.

Yeah something is wrong. I’m pissed off that we have a massive mail in voting system and no way to verify the authenticity of the vote.

Prove there was mass voter fraud in the mail in ballots.

Until you do that, you're just making stuff up.

Many states have employed a “massive mail in voting system” for years.......don’t seem to remember any complaints about it in the past. It’s just that this time the spoilt Orange brat didn’t get things his own way.....

I’m sorry, did I say anything about fraud? I said we have a massive mail in voting system with no way to authenticate the vote. Do you dispute that?

Yeah but how many of those states ended signature verification weeks prior to the election in prior years?
