I never know what to make of roses tbh other than they terrify me to buy. I couldn't tell you how many of them I have murdered, yet I have a rose bush that was literally bulldozed with the building on one of my properties that still managed to come back. Forget to spray them, they die. Bulldoze them and they are like Lazarus.

I am trying a couple coral knock outs in big pots this year on each side of the door to see how they fair. I have never grown them in containers but it is about the only place I can protect them sort of from deer. The said bulldozed rose was transplanted into a bed at my house and it is doing great and the deer don't seem to want to eat it like they do every other rose I have planted. I had several JFK's that eventually died as the deer kept them mowed down so often.

I am in the federal jury pool for the next year. Take mental notes on how to get fired and give me some pointers to put away for a rainy day. About the only federal jury cases in my city are gang-related murders and or drug cases and I really don't want to be stuck on one of those juries. Maybe if it were in another city and they were sequestering me in a hotel, I would be more interested.

I'm glad I remember that Trial.I felt really bad for that Moron
kid { early 20's } who was obviously challenged. He was being Laughed at.
But one could tell he wasn't even remotely aware of it.He was a simpleton.
I lost a lot of respect for Judges that afternoon. That Judge was having a good
belly laugh at the expense of a Kid who dint know any better.
I bet If Mother Teresa was in that court room, she might feel temped to
walk up to that Judge and slap him real good in the kisser.
There are no more Mother Teresa today.
The World reflects it.I don't feel things will improve.
We are truly entering ... Our End Days .

Done my time on Jury and Grand Jury. Hopefully, I won't have to do it again, but I can remain impartial if I must.

May I strongly suggest getting enough sleep before jury duty, so the monotonous droning of lawyers doesn't cause you to lapse into a mid-morning nap? It can be embarrassing.... just saying.

A Federal Grand Jury just indicted Chauvin and the three officers on civil
rights charges { Not a Hate Crime } but denying George Floyds civil rights
to not undergo excessive force and lack of crucial medical assistance.
However this Biden Justice Dept. wasted no time in announcing
this Indictment Last Friday in a rush to advertise. That is NOT how a
Justice Dept. is supposed to announce this sort of thing. It must take it's
course thru the courts in it's announcements. This Justice Dept. just
    prejudiced that Indictment.

So far, there's been plenty of monotonous droning during the elimination rounds. Maybe they're testing our tolerance levels.

For one trial, they called in fifty-one potential jurors. Three or four people didn't show up. Then, some were kicked out. There were maybe thirty people left. Since there wasn't enough space in the courtroom, they split us into two groups. I was in the second group.

Enough people were left, of the first group, to form a jury. So, I get two days off.

I'm glad that I won't have to be in that trial. I don't know how it will turn out, but I know that there won't be any winners either way.

I know goats love roses. I used to go to the local Lowe's and buy roses near death or not looking sellable. I would cut them down to close to the ground and repot them.

Goats will eat just about anything from what my brother says. He and his wife raise some on their farm. I've never worked with them personally. I buy a lot of end of season and clearance plants from the box stores when they are actually selling them. Our lowes often doesn't put them out during season at clearance prices until they are already dead since the vendor decides those. I scored 30 golden false cypress for $5 each a couple years back that I think were originally $30 each at home depot that I am pretty happy about. I planted them in two different places to form hedges once they get some height to them. Should be pretty when they fill in. Right now they are just little yellow blobs. It takes them a few years before they really start to grow a lot in my experience. Got about a dozen burning bushes that way too but they have been in longer and don't seem to be ever going to do much. I know they are slow growers, but these ones just never seem to do much other than maintain their current size.

I cheated and bought a few of the already blooming two foot high tomatoes to put out that already have fruit on them among my many little tomato plants. If anybody asks I will say oh those were the same size as the others. I am just testing my new home-made fertilizer on those ones ;)

I got tomatoes in. I am doing things different with my corn. I am starting the seed in peat pots to transfer it to the garden. I am going to plant it after it comes up in the pots to try to get it all to come up at the same time. I might be able to get more ears that way. Pics to come.

I tried to rear my own chickens. Every single one of them died though. I think I may have planted them upside down.

I'm somewhat baffled.Who counted 51.Was that number made public
to those being called for Jury duty. And what do you mean ... The first Trial.
The reason Jury Trials are advised against by most Lawyers is the expense.
    I'm referring to Non-murder trials.

They assigned everyone a number and there were fifty-one numbers assigned. I don't know whether anyone counted them.

I don't know what you mean by "first trial".

Yes, but unlike the dead chickens the kids can still walk, and work in Frank Darabont productions.
