I don't see many, or any, moderate democrats joining them at this point, but if it truly gets any traction, a few might in 2023...

 

His son's wealth is tied directly to papa Trump. Without him they have nothing. Only Ivanka has her own money thanks to marrying Jared.

 

Not Cheney, she is no where near a moderate, she just made one good choice for America and I applaud that. The true moderates can and will attract moderate Democrats. But they need to get moving. Once T**** has to declare his bankruptcy and announces he'll live off his personal PAC fund it will be harder.

She's not a moderate by ideology, but that's no longer the key to membership in today's GOP. There's only 1 litmus test to success and it's not ideology...

After today, she'll likely have no home in that party, so a third party might be the only way she stays relevant in politics.

I've already said people like Liz and Mitt won't be rushing to join some breakaway party this week, but lets see where they stand in January 2022....

You can have her. Run her as a Democrat in California or give her a job as a talking head at CNN. You can have Mitt as well. It won't matter much in the long run, we are headed towards a left wing tyrannical caste system ala California that impoverishes the middle class for the benefit of the elite (greatest wealth inequality in America and now actively contending for greatest wealth inequality on the planet). The left/elites will get the 3rd world balkanized hell world that they so desperately want.
