Biden skips out on joint Putin presser, will go it alone

Trump bowed down to him while kissing his ass. It was an embarrassment to watch

 

I do not view them as a threat, just as I do not view them as an ally.

They are a rival nation, nothing more.

 

The dead Russian troops and our naval forces speak to a different tune.

 

Say what you want about Putin but the guy oozes confidence. If you try to trick him up or put him on the spot he has a way of making you look like a fool. Plus you won’t hear him talk about corn pop or kids playing with his leg hairs, and I haven’t seen any photos of him sniffing kids or groping women inappropriately.

I’ll bet Putin would cherish having a one on one presser or debate with Biden. In that regard, Biden’s wife and handlers are doing the smart thing by keeping the big guy away from him. I wonder if the hotel Biden is staying in has a basement.

 

Fine, that's because they aren't a threat and want normal relations. Maybe you ought to push some more keys and study Russia and Putin a bit and maybe you would learn something.

You want threats? China, especially virally and economically. Mexico, that porous border will give this country a certain death.

Biden said he was going to meet with Putin to "let him know what I want him to know". Tough talk after Russia has repeatedly said it would not be dealt with as an inferior party. Joe's little tough talk was not overlooked by Russia, guaranteed.

All that aside, Biden has dropped the idea of stopping Nord Stream 2 and has left Zelensky in Ukraine flapping in the breeze. He has already capitulated. He knows it and Putin knows it. The fact is that, tough talk aside, it's clear who's operating from a position of strength. Hint: it ain't Biden.

So Biden talks tough and Putin just carries on with his work. The differences in the two couldn't be more stark. Biden will not get what he wants, which is to drive a wedge between China and Russia. I'm sure Putin will make that clear. The Russians have already met with the Chinese prior to this summit and will be briefing the Chinese after.

So let Joe have his solo press conference and talk tough some more. Putin will have his and then get back to work.

 

And their business isn't our business. It's called mind your own damn business, and we should do it. Just like you would be losing your **** if Russia played world police and decided to park nukes in Mexico or Cuba, for example, which is the same as what we have already done in Poland.

When leaders meet but wont talk to the press jointly its usually because one or bother administrations wants to build a false story rather than provide transparency for the meeting that just took place. Pres Biden was hyped as a contender but now wont stand next to the man he all but threatened. That alone blows the false narrative of a tough and competent foreign policy from the Biden Administration out of the water because nothing screams weak leader like the inability to stand next to man you promised you'd bring to heel. On top of that we know Pres Biden can be mentally diminished at times and to put him next to another world leader that wont hold themselves in reservation for the sake of their counterpart's domestic image is something the Biden staffers obviously didn't want to happen.

You think all of this is because we're not besties with Russia, but leaders from antagonistic nations have stood next to each other for decades unafraid of being subjected to media questions. The fact is our President is weak, ok? Weak before Putin, weak before the press, weak.

It's easy to look like a skilled leader when you can murder your opposition and rig the system to keep yourself in power forever.

Not only is the joint press conference a traditional precept of statecraft its also a key point of doing a summit in the first place. These leaders and their staff can talk on the phone at any time, but they do these summits for the world to see. Well, the world is going to see Pres Biden hiding from Putin. You think that's an image we need right now?

 

What the world is going to see is that the US and Russia are not allies. The rest is just your BDS shining through

Since they will not meet for at least 4 days how in the hell do you know anything about their after meeting press conferences??? As I recall after Dirty Donald had one of his meetings with Putin he refused to announce anything about what they talked about. Maye Biden is going to let us know EVERYTHING THEY TALKED ABOUT???

 

You seem to be hung up on this but I cant figure out why. Who needs convincing of the fact that the US and RU are adversarial? Its been that way for a very long time and everyone knows it. I'm trying to get you to see the optics that this move makes our President look weak. Even if he wasn't weak, which he is, this makes him, the office, and the country look that way. Joe talks big when the bully isn't in the room but then what happens? They go behind closed doors, maybe we get a transcript maybe we don't, but the next image we see is our President running for the nearest exit. No good.

 

It does not make any president look weak to not hold a presser with a rival. This is just your BDS coming through.

 

It absolutely does. It looks weak when prior to their closed door meeting said President, and his media surrogates, big talk about how they're going to lay down the law. And in general principle it looks weak not to stand your ground when a bully, and Putin is a bully, shows up. If it helps you see this correctly try and imagine it were Pres Trump running away from Putin.
