Now these drugs aren’t going to miraculously turn him into a nuclear physicist but they do help with memory, anxiety, attention, reasoning and language skills. All skills which you need for public speaking and debate.

When they stop taking those meds their abilities in those areas are noticeably diminished.

 

Have you seen him take any unscripted questions? Have you actually watched him? It’s sad.

Nothing more embarassing than going "aha" only to have your great case blow up in your face. I spent exactly 25 seconds to see that this was complete bunk. Biden did say "some people don't know what covid is". Indeed Biden who had been repeatedly talking about COVAX sometimes known as the Covid Project which is run by the WHO and Unicef amongst others. So yes, Biden meant to say either covax or the covid project, and said covid. big whoop.
As to the ambassador thing this is where the only one looking like a total fool is the "journalist". Biden thanked the attaché standing in for the ambassador...an ambassador. Smarmy ******bag raises his eyebrow saying that Biden probably doesn't know who the ambassador is. Now of course;;;THERE IS NO AMBASSADOR for the time being, hasn't been named yet. So, yes the attaché stands in for the ambassador, and Biden corrects the transcript to note that it is AN ambassador because there isn't an actual person serving as ambasador yet. So the only fool there is this journalist

Unlike you, I don't need WebMD. I learned my trade in pre-med, medical school, residency training, PhD scientific training, and 41 years of practice. I've treated demented patients, numerous times. I know that the expectations from families and patients would be similar to what you selectively quoted, but real life results are very different and very variable. Minimal improvement. Not lasting. We're still struggling to develop something better. The FDA has just approved another path to treatment but it is controversial and poorly demonstrated.

What I countered is the notion that you somehow pump a demented patient full of dementia drugs and at the peak of their action (like you naively said) they will be up to the task of participating nicely of a presidential debate, going on and on about a multitude of complex issues. No such thing. That's science fiction, that's fantasy, regardless of what you *think* you're getting from WebMD. In the real world, all we can get is the patient being slightly better for a few months, as in, slowing down the dementia process more than reversing it.

Nice try. It's lovely when lay people think they can outclass a full-blown MD-PhD with 4 decades of experience, by quoting a website intended to simplify Medicine for the consumption of lay people.
