I ignored mine as long as I could because the wife didn't want to spend any money. It finally got so bad even she agreed. She now understands ....... no roof no house.

No. I'm not a fan of putting chemicals on the land
I just pulled them up as best I could and hopefully I won't let it get that bad again.

I have a problem with putting up Threads. They get Laughed off
almost immediately. This same pattern was used at another message board
I used when I got Banned for 6 months here.
I am no longer going to talk with the owner of Princess.
I think about Princess a few times a day.
I got 3 polaroid pics of her professionally enlarged.I have them
framed. And gave one to the good neighbor who also looked after
    Princess.
It was work to make sure every day { 3 or 4 times to keep a watch
on Princess }. I've caught her going on the street and wandering. And when it rained
she kept wandering.Obviously she was old and probably suffered Dog Dementia.,
Plus loss of eyesight, hearing and possible hip dysplasia.
    Talk about finality.

Good overall policy.Don't use or store chemicals .
I'm not talkin' Ammonia or bleach.
In the states we have scrubbing pads called scotch brite.
They get off baked-on scum with just elbow grease and
hot soap and water.Maybe Rubbing alc.

The Last Laugh (2019) - IMDb

You have heart. That says it all. Princess was keen on spotting that. She was loved and shown love by you. It matters.
That was nice of you giving the neighbor who also showed her love, a gift. You're a good guy Foolie.

I have no clue why I thought of this but it almost hurt my brain trying to understand how it must work.
Do you think in words or imagery? If there are no distractions around you and you have a thought, did your brain process that thought with words or did it process that thought with visualization? I process thoughts with words. If a person is born blind and deaf do they process thought through touch and smell?
If @Smartmouthwoman comes up for air and shows up for this conversation, no Smartie I'm not drunk.

It boils down to a simple case of whether or not one is a pet lover.
That is something one may be born with. But it shows greatly in ones
    youth.Once a pet lover,usually always a pet lover.
It's not like being a meat lover and then deciding meat is not part of a
    good diet.
I would not feel complete in the scheme of mankind if I ignored
pets. That also includes those more seen as pests than pets.
Like rabbits and squirrels.Even opossum are not bad animals.
But a Bad person owing a pet is most always bad.Plus they stick out
like sore thumbs. Many a pet { dog or cat } can often sense a bad person.
Like Kids often can.Not so sure anymore about Priests.

That is similar tp asking a bi-lingual person what which language he uses to process his thoughts.
I am pretty sure I do words and visuals. All of your senses are ready to go when you are..Sometimes my visuals don't exactly match up with my thoughts in the end product.

    Chanterelle are pretty distinctive.
One of the great things about France is that all chemists are trained to recognise all types of mushrooms so you can take them to them if you are not sure.
You are right though, if you are not absolutely certain leave them alone.

Man is or supposed to be a Rational Animal. They posess something unique on
    earth.It's called Free Will.With a conscience and a soul.
Mankind will also be judged on his actions and thoughts while
on earth. That is the Great Experiment God created.
Some may argue that a blind person has a higher level of sense
due to that impairment.Their sense of smell is greater.Their sense of
hearing. The animal kingdom relies much more on those type sense.
The Human race relies much more on thoughts.Survival depends on
a combination of both. The senses and thought.
I doubt an animal could have accomplished what Tom Hanks proved
in - Cast Away -. Nor most humans. It depended on a degree of luck also.
One of my most treasured books is :
    - The Great Thoughts - by George Seldes
From Abelard to Zola. From ancient Greece to contemporary
America, the ideas that have shaped the world.
Mankind should not be allowed to leave Earth without some
thought{s}.That is a given. What God intended for Mankind.
