    Sounds totalitarian.

What happened to the "everyone doing their part"?

    Tyranny of the majority.

Yeah, but you do realize the vaccinated will be spreading more disease than the non-vaccinated, simply due to them accounting for greater numbers of the population?

Okay, but there's also the issue of discrimination.

The vaccinated are killing people too, albeit to a lesser degree.

These type of policies divide French society, and there are always risks that come along to treating one group of people differently than another and embarking on a policy that almost seems like it is there to coerce people to do something they should have the right not to do.

At least when a restrictive law applies to ALL members of society, there is less of a risk of oppression or unfairness, because the majority may get tired of it and start complaining.

This new policy creates the risk that this could go on and on, for more than a year or two, which would not be justified or fair.

But you do realize, even that may not be enough to stop it.

This isn't quite so simple as some people imagine it is. Vaccines are NOT "the solution". Anybody who thinks that is naive or stupid.
It's merely part of a wider strategy of trying to reduce and stop it.

Given 160,000 Parisians just took to the streets in non-violent civil disobedience, he will have a harder time enforcing this than he thinks.

They have 75,000 prison cells. They might need to build more.

We can move on to more refined measures after we get people to accept the fact that, for the common good, they'll have to do things that their political leanings or their personal feefees might not agree with. Cant begin teach a 5 year old how to make duck pate en croute until they have a solid understanding that the stove is hot. Luckily for us even these most basic measures are highly effective.

That’s such a ludicrous statement. That’s like going after People for spreading the flu. When you rely on money and your job doesn’t give you sick days you can’t just stay home. No one intentionally infects anyone with an air born disease.

May as well slap a star on people’s clothing. You’re creating a secondary class of citizens

totalitarian would be the fauchi force hauling the undocumented to a local planned parenthood for a vaccination and and a vasectomy. there is no natural right to infect others with a deadly disease.

he is not throwing anyone into the bastille. but after 160,000 unvaccinated parisions just gathered to spread whatever disease they might be carrying, it might be a good idea to keep them out of the louve.

People seem to like choice but not responsibility. If one chooses not to be vaccinated the consequences may well be that one be excluded from the general population.
    That is choice.

And so no one really has any rights, by that logic, do they?

But the thing is, this is targeted taking away of rights.

Would you still be completely not outraged at all if they continued taking away these rights from everyone, in addition to just the non-vaccinated?

No, that's not a fair statement.

We are talking about artificial imposition of choice. That's like someone holding up a gun to someone else and telling them to get in the car. And then claiming it's not so bad because they have a choice.

I agree with your observation about choice and responsibility, but people are using some faulty logic here. Taking away rights is not an inevitably logical outcome to that choice.

    This is unjust discrimination.

People will continue to pose a threat, whether they are vaccinated or not. You should not perpetually revoke rights from them simply because they do not make the choice that you think they should make.

If you think things are still not safe, then maybe everyone should continue to deal with restrictions for a while longer.

    No, that's just your imagination.

You are using emotion and not really rational logic.

I believe what you are doing is known as an oversimplification fallacy.

That is true of course it's better and much more preferable than no choice, but it's still not right.

Maybe the restrictions should only be limited to large stadiums where the crowds are tightly packed. I think that might be reasonable.

This is the same people who suggested that the most vulnerable should stay at home in order that everyone else could go about their normal lives. Now that the unvaccinated are the most vulnerable they seem to have changed their minds.

Nice try, but that suggestion was by choice. No one was suggesting to require the more vulnerable to stay at home.

They did here. In fact they required that everyone stay home unless they were essential workers.

ridiculous. no one took everyone's rights when typhoid mary was quarantined. If we had quarantined a few cruise ships last year , or closed off a few towns in the northwest when it began to show there would be fewer mass graves in central park.
