    Except for Trump who actually signed a peace deal with the Taliban that promised a full US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Trump also drew down our troops to just 2,500 and allowed much of Afghanistan to be captured by the Taliban.

    I agree, that was a mistake on Biden's part, plenty of mistakes by both Trump and Biden, much blame to go around

    yep, I am sure both Trump and Biden thought the Taliban would be so happy we were leaving, that they would just leave us alone and let us go, maybe even help us pack

    no one expected the Taliban to do it this soon, but everyone expected it would happen

    I understand, and look at a psychological level I agree. F the Taliban. Nevertheless, it's not our lives that are at stake here. Military engagement means American soldiers will die.

    This is true. Although, China now has their rare earth resources, Al Queda will be back, etc.

    When, not if, terrorism springs from Afghanistan again, I'd just take a similar approach Bill Clinton would do - cruise missile their infrastructure to the ground. If Afghans want to allow their country to be a craphole terrorist spawning bed, then their infrastructure can match it perfectly.
