Why do you support buying products from China, considering their abysmal human-rights record, massive theft of U.S. technology, and their growing threat to democracy across the world?

 

I agree with you. Can we also agree that American retailers need to find or create manufacturers in other nations besides China? India, Phillipines, Vietnam, ANYBODY but China!

 

I didn't ask you to. I said there is a direct correlation between buying goods made in other countries versus supporting our country. Clearly, the majority of people agree with you (but some of them act confused about China owning so much of our debt).

I do not care where a product is made, just its quality and its price. Manufacturing is starting to move to those places as China has happening to it what happened to Japan (which used to be the place cheap **** came from) the populous is now demanding more and that increases the price of production.

China plays a longer game than we do though, they are helping those other places get set up to take on the manufacturing so they can keep their fingers into it

Supporting China is akin to supporting Nazi Germany. There are certainly Republicans that are heavily invested in China, such as RINO Mitch McConnell, but the Democratic Party is completely bought and paid for by the Chinese Communist Party. You simply cannot accept that your political masters work for and are loyal to China.

Hell, it just came out yesterday that Arizona Senator Mark Kelly failed to report investments with a Chinese company. The Chinese have offered countless bribes to corrupt American politicians and government officials (Fauci) in return for their support.

 

Last I heard it was Trump and Ivanka having their merchandise made in China. What say you?

BTW: Can you backup your claim that Fauci received bribes from China? Even though the NIAID, Fauci's agency, funded virus research at the Wuhan lab (through an American grant recipient), there is zero evidence of nefarious activity during the award of this grant. Most likely, Fauci might not have known at the time the grant was awarded. You know, each NIH institute funds 1000s of grants every year, too many for the director to know the research in each grant.

I realize it is off topic. I just need to clear up some obvious misconceptions. To the question as to why would Fauci approve the grant for the Wuhan research?

1) The independent peer reviewers apparently liked the grant proposal.
2) The NIH study section (panel of experts) that handled the proposal recommended it for funding.
3) The program officer recommended funding.
4) The NIAID council (another panel of experts) recommended funding based on the reviewers', panels', program officers' assessment of the proposal.

This is kind of how it goes with all NIH funded grants. Now, if you have evidence that Fauci funded the grant against the recommendations of all of those other experts, then you might be onto something. Good luck finding this evidence.
