If you refuse the vaccine, you don't matter. It's the people you infect that matter!

commenting on an opinion based OP with another opinion concerning the OP is not off topic. That’s just your go to every time you disagree. I love to read about WWII and nazi Germany advertised with dehumanizing efforts against the Jews much the same way you speak of the unvaccinated.

Here is a Nazi poster claiming Jews were responsible for the war, in comparison claiming the unvaccinated are responsible for COVID is just as ludicrous.

    https://www.ushmm.org/propaganda/archive/poster-guilty-war/

To claim the Nazis wouldn’t advertise the same message you are in dehumanization a group of people is ignorance of history

Does this pertain to your former employee that died of covid? Why didn’t you express this opinion in that thread? Does it mean you really don’t believe this, and if you don’t maybe you should clarify it.

Except that, no matter what propaganda you might believe, Jews were NOT responsible for the war. On the other hand, anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers (which are not the same as "the unvaccinated") are in very large part responsible for many of the deaths in this country.

So, by comparing the two, your post perfectly illustrates the inability of the extreme right to discern between propaganda and reality. And this is why they are so vulnerable to the former.

And, one more time: this thread is about the so-called "right" to infect others. I don't see you referring to this, the actual topic of this thread. So I must assume you agree with the OP. And that's all I needed.

Wow… way to spin. I don’t believe the Jews were responsible for the war just like I don’t the unvaccinated are responsible for vaccinated people getting sick. What’s the point in the vaccine if it were. Where’s the warning label saying this will protect you against all COVID strains except for those from people who don’t take the vaccine. You’re crazy bud

Unfortunately, yes. I didn't attend his funeral. But the other technician who was close to him did. He says, other than his family, of course, the thing most people talked about was how he was an anti-vaxxer.

    Sad way to die!

So you didn’t care that your unvaccinated employee died? Dude! I gave you a way out. Just a simple clarification would have gave some leeway. Why would you make yourself look like that? I’m vaccinated and would never work for you. I feel bad for your employees.

In the end we all die, but what does your callousness of thought gain you? It seems so needless to me.

You know... there are a lot of people who say that, as a rule of thumb, one should never make comparisons with Hitler or the Nazis. I'm not one who believes that. But if you are going to make one, you must be very very smart about it. And that's where you failed. You see, you're comparing an event intended to kill people (a war) with something intended to save people's lives (vaccines). Not very smart. And you paid the consequences. Argumentatively speaking of course. And it makes no difference whether you believe it's factual or not.

So take this as a learning event. You need a lot of experience in these forums to try to make a comparison like that. And more so if you are a right-winger who supports a racist like Trump. But just throwing out the comparison like you did is a surefire way to get you into hot water.

This is a strawman I foresaw when I wrote the OP and thought about including "... except a friend, family or colleague ". But that just diminished the strength of the argument I wanted to make. Obviously, the guy was my colleague. So there is a personal sentiment attached to his passing, which is independent of the politics that the anti-science crowd hammered into his head.

But, on the other hand, I have to admit that, much as I appreciated the guy, I can't shake off the feeling that he deserved it.

In any case, this is not about me. And it's not about the people who die. It's about the fact that vaccination is not and should not be a "personal choice".

The stupidity of dying because you put political ideology before science gains nothing for anybody.

It's a complete waste. And that is one of the main points of this thread.

I didn’t fail at anything. I exposed you as a man who is okay with people dying just because you disagree with them. I showed how nazis dehumanized the Jews the same way you are dehumanizing the unvaccinated. I also showed a real life example of death in which you fully admitted to just because of his vaccine status. You are in my eyes and likely many more just as bad as a Nazi. You lost any smidge of respect I had for you today. You may as well be talking to a wall, anything you say is meaningless to me.

You can expose me as anything you want. I'm not concerned about that because I'm not the topic of this thread. The only thing I would be concerned about is if you proved my arguments wrong. And you haven't even tried. So... I'm happy. In fact, shifting the discussion to try to make it about me (a.k.a. "ad hominem") proves that you have no arguments.

    My job is done....

What political ideology are you speaking of? That of Joy Reid? I agree, that was political. But did you know that in the nation's 50 largest hospitals 1/3 of all hospital workers are unvaccinated? Is that political too? Or do you think they may have some just reasons for being skeptical of the vaccines?

I don't know. Does Joy Reid believe there is some "right" to infect others with a deadly disease?

Apparently so according to post #161, and according to your logic, which implies that anyone hesitant on the vaccine is imposing a deadly disease onto others.

If you are vaccinated yourself and now safe why do you care? The only people unvaccinated ones will effect are unvaccinated and a good deal of them are naturally immune. Why the hell don't you just let them work it out among themselves? That is part of the ramifications of being "free". You make choices. We don't need intrusive government or nonny goody two shoes to tell us how we must live!

There is a clear parallel in the comparison which is why all you had to add was this…

Your words. Not mine. I couldn't care less if somebody is hesitant about the vaccine. This thread is about antivaxxers who think they have some "right" that they don't have.

Sooooo since we know that vaccinated can get covid and carry the same viral load. Does anyone have any idea as to how many asymptomatic vaccinated people are walking around with it?

    Oh you don't?

Didn’t you read the label on the vaccine? It reads, “Protects against all strains of Covid except any strain you may come in contact with”.

Well, so far about 40% of the US population is exercising this right that you say they don't have, the right not to get vaccinated. So it would seem to me that you don't have much standing on this issue.
