ICC or some such thing published some report claiming nations could be destroyed by the end of the century.. 80 years .. probably talking some of the Islands. But this is the wrong conversation - Sea level rising is the least of our worries. Climate Change - while serious - is not the biggest worry either - but thats all we talk about - even though Policy is to create more of it. We don't have to wait 80 years - don't have to guess - rely on unreliable models - wonder about how many inches ... or how big the storms will get -- where droughts will happen - and where will get rained out due to hurricanes. but this is all you hear about - while ignoring the root cause issues of CO2 - Greenhouse gasses - which have increased from 22 Billion to 36 Billion tons/year over the last 25 years - a number that continues to increase with no end in sight. Worry not - well .. not that much - you should worry a bit about those things. The biggest and most pressing issue is Ocean Pollution - Heavy metals - Persistent Organic Pollutants - Nitrogen (sewage-fertilizer) - Hopefully we can reduce CO2 emissions some day prior to hitting that tipping point .. but we are already there with Ocean Pollution. and while we may be able to reduce CO2 emissions one day - good luck filtering the Oceans. Mercury leves in Whales up north are at levels so high - experts believe neurological funcion impairment is nigh. Breast milk in innuit women is so full of toxins it could not be put on a store shelf. Mercury levels in Tuna off the coast of North America have been decreasing -- cause we don't dump heavy metals and POPs into the Ocean. Off the coast of Hawaii Hg levels are rising in tune.. and we know why - smokestacks in Asia .... Just the smokestacks - never mind what these non industrialized nations are dumping into the Ocean directly. I can go on about the Nitrogen pollution - "Dead Zones" 100 to near 500 over the last 25 years.. One is the size of the state of New Jersey.. these are anoxic - oxygen depleted zones where fish, coral , and marine life can not survive. Imagin being told - hey man - don't go there - a region the size of New Jersey State - you won't be able to breath. 60% of our oxygen comes from the ocean .. don't want it to turn into one big dead zone - mess with that equilibrium - as there is no surviving that tipping point. And - we are doing near nothing about it.. in fact.. Biden Policy promotes increasing CO2 and Ocean Pollution with his . Not in my back yard - Dump it in the Ocean Environmental and Economic policy.
Antarctica cooling. That means more ice. Body Of Evidence: All Of Antarctica Is Cooling… Peninsula Cooling Since Long Before Greta Was Born By P Gosselin on 19. September 2021 Share this... The IPCC 6th Report seems to have missed a lot, hasn’t it? Recent publications since the 5th Report show ALL OF ANTARCTICA, including the peninsula, has cooled since the late 1990s. Friday I wrote about how the entire continent of Antarctica (except its peninsula) was found by leading scientists to be cooling significantly. The publication by Zhu et al, however, found that the Antarctic Peninsula had been warming – but not a statistically significant rate – over the past 4 decades. Now in a reader comment Kenneth has brought our attention to three scientific publications that show the peninsula has in fact been cooling since the late 1990s, after having warmed since the early 1950s! . . .
World leaders face furious push to act quickly on climate change " The presidents and prime ministers gathering at the United Nations this week have six weeks to go until a crucial global climate summit in Scotland where they must join forces to slow the warming of the planet — something they have struggled to do in the past." https://www.washingtonpost.com/clim...e7e8a6816e7945f/9/63/61485ba69d2fda9d41d8b79b
Just changes where its stored, like ice shelves and glaciers. Humans now store so much water it effects the tilt of the planet.
I would have been so simple for you to type "water storage effects earths tilt" and choose a source you trust. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/humans-contribute-to-earth-rsquo-s-wobble-scientists-say/ https://www.nytimes.com/1996/03/03/...ffect, more water is,in the 88 reservoirs, Dr. https://www.theguardian.com/environ...risis-has-shifted-the-earths-axis-study-shows https://grace.jpl.nasa.gov/news/82/nasa-study-solves-two-mysteries-about-wobbling-earth/
Interesting, but none of that addresses human water storage. And the planet's tilt doesn't affect sea level.
There is perception and there is reality. Are Northwest Summers Getting Drier? The Truth May Surprise You. We have had a dry spring and summer and people are concerned. Completely understandable. And people's discomfort and fears have been unnecessarily worsened by the incessant drumbeat in the media and some politicians that Northwest summers are been getting drier. And they are not shy about suggesting the cause: climate change or what was previously known as human-caused global warming. But is this really true? Do observations REALLY show that our region is getting progressively drier over the past decades and century? The facts are clear: there is no long-term trend towards drier summers in the Northwest. And the effects of climate change (global warming) will be very small, with some locations receiving more summer precipitation. But as in real life, there are details and nuances that are generally not provided in the media.....let me provide them to you here. . . .
As China laughs at us for sending our manufacturing industry to them so we can hide in our own little bubble from the climate change boogyman.
For those who don't understand climate, they are doomed to be manipulated by folks who can. Why? There are literally trillions of wealth redistribution dollars to be spread around the globe, which is and has always been the major conflict of interest within the UN. The UN believe in their ability to demand these trillions while bemoaning the developed world in their attempt to race underdeveloped nations into the modern world. Which does what again? Simply put, it creates yet more pressure on the environments, it further induces more pollution, and frankly, countries who still believe the world hasn't progressed since the 8th century aren't very likely to enforce pollution laws or standards. But, histrionic liberal folks need something to fill the absence of their disbelief, so they choose to assert their own tyranny because they don't fear any retribution from it. And this is the model we see today. The world of rules for thee, but not for me, in all its horror. Ask some simple questions. Why do all the attendees in the summit arrive on private aviation? Clearly, the cost of whatever economic burdens these folks are willing to inflict on the rest of the world aren't going to effect their lives or behaviors. Just the rest of y'alls. Folks really do need to remember things like that.
More Climate Hypocrisy from the rich "progressive" entitled white gentry bourgeoisie finger-pointers.
Yes it does, and human water storage effects sea levels, especially when that water storage is large enough to effect the planets tilt. All those dams and reservoirs that didn't exist 11,500 years ago. All the artificially irrigated land full of pumped water. That's always the trouble with cherry picking articles that say what you want them to, then cut and pasting them, they never examine all the relevant data. I wonder why.
It is not hypocritical to be rich and want to not Pollute the planet.. in fact it is the Rich who need to step up to save the planet. Figure 100 Trillion over 10 years would give us a chance.
Even when their carbon footprint is thousands of times larger that 99% of the people in the country. Yeah, that makes sense
No - not even close - a multi millionaire has nowhere close 1000 times the carbon footprint than the average person - never mind thousands. On the other hand - you have 36 times the carbon footprint of a subsistence dweller in a non industrialized nation - should you give all your things away and to go a bowl of rice a day ? This is moronic ... obviously. Here is another one - say there was a law proposed that would somehow have everyone reduce by 10% - the rich person could be for this law .. and he would still be as rich as can be .. even though reducing more than the average joe. Better however is the choice of where we get the feul that we use. Just because one uses oil -does not mean one can not desire that that oil be from a clean source - on a relative basis - than a dirty source. This is with respect to both CO2 and Ocean Pollution. When you buy something -- you can buy a product where the company pollutes the Ocean - and if a non industrialize nation is the root cause of CO2 increase .. that 36 X multiplier ... when we industrialize the rice eater .. his consumption increases by 36 times .. which is why over the last 25 years - despite first world nations decreasing - the overall annual global emissions have increased from 22 Billion to 36 Billion tons/year. Not building that pipeline and clamping down on domestic production is a really bad idea. We are going to use 21 million barrels a day .. every day this year .. some 45% of which is imported from 70 different nations. Exxon just had a big find in Nambia "Great" - lets get it from them - and places like Nigeria who are massive Ocean Polluters .. and ship it here by dirty tanker ..which is a "thousand of times" more risk of harm to the environment than a pipeline spill -- perhaps not 1000's but 100s. but this is the current enviro policy "Not in my back Yard - Dump it in the Ocean" - We love oil - use tonnes of it .. but just please don't put a pipeline in our back yard .. lets transport our pollution problems to Nigeria .. incentivizing industrialization. Last 25 years -- 600 million were industrialized. the pop grew by over a billion .. 7 - 8 Billion .. so less than the rate of population growth. We have 6 Billion left to go .. but pop will increase to 10 billion by 2050 .. adding another 1.4 Billion to the non industrialized total . In that 25 years .. the Oceans suffered massively .. and likely can not withstand another 25 year period .. industrializing another 600 million - with out catastrophic damage.
Private jets used like limos, multiple huge homes and vacation homes, staffed by multitudes of service personnel, and you think these multi millionaires don't even come close to numbers? How many private jets, 10,000 sq ft homes, and service people do you have?
You are talking more than "Multi Millions" as in 3 or 4 million- you are talking lifestyles of the rich and famous - a few million dollars in net worth .. or even 10 million .. - one does not have a fleet of private Jets... and all you showed was a pic of a nice house .. Regardless .. you completely failed to address any of the arguments against your failed hypocrisy claim .. Billionaires can care about the climate just as much as you .. but you don't care - because if you did .. by your own logic . you would be selling all your stuff to feed those hungry mouths in africa .. perhaps a cabbage once a week ...
It's curious how one can view hundreds of rigidly peer reviewed articles going back 150 years and yet, on the strength of some obscure factoid is prepared to thoughtlessly discard all of the previous work in favor of their newly found little factoid. Very curious indeed!
