This was in 2014 - about a year after the Islamic State had taken over most of Syria .. was not yet Overt .. but not so covert .. an open secret - involving a large coalition of nations .. Britain, France, Turkey - "nato allies" - Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Israel Jordan .. and so on. The woman was trapped at a taliban checkpoint where they demanded 1500 to pass.
