Can America be Saved?

Not if Benedict Donald is ever reelected. January 6th was just a rehearsal for what he has in mind for the USA.

 

The right seems too far gone. Irreconcilable differences. Best case scenario would be a bloodless divorce. We get Hawaii, you can have custody of Alaska since they like you better. But would like to visit little Alaska sometimes.

 

And some of the Hattians are being flown back to Haiti but thousands are being flown to other states here in the USA. The government won't disclose those numbers -- but if they did they would lie. Biden is on record saying he wants a steady stream of migrants coming into the USA. And he thinks changing the country to minority white is a good thing. Hey, some people voted for the man and they have to face up to his policies, the policies that don't help our citizens or the country.

 

Well it was fun while it lasted.

There are two historical trends at work. Great powers usually have a 250 year peak, then drop off, and democracies don't last very long at all. Our founders were well aware of the flaws of the democratic model and built in safe guards to prevent that, but they've been slowly eroded over time, allowing late stage democracy trends, like the politicization of everything to expose all of our weaknesses.

Still, America was a great and amazing thing and I'm glad to have been a part of it.

 

So govt isn’t assaulting free speech, persecuting people of faith or have gun owners in its crosshairs. Got it. Thanks.

 

Mow your own lawn first. The vitriol from the left on this forum is regular. We have seen several examples of lefties celebrating and hoping for the deaths of those who choose not to take an experimental vaccine.

What "news" sources do you recommend they stop watching?

One of our members here actually stated that he thinks people should be forcefully vaccinated by dragging them off to prison for one year and then fining them $1,000 and taking their children away from them.

Naturally this person is on the left.

 

It saddens me to say it, but no, I don’t think America can be saved. We are a people who have become corrupt and depraved beyond hope of redemption.

 

It's been frustrating to watch, and as I mentioned earlier something much greater is going to perish with the last bastion of individual freedom on earth.

Speaking of History, I can't help but think of what happened after Antipater snuffed out the beacon of democracy in Greece in 322 BC. To borrow Reagan's words, the West descended into a thousand years of darkness until that beacon was re-lit by the commoners in Europe's urban centers during the Middle Ages and established a modicum of freedom and self-determination for themselves.

Socialism = Government owned and operated means of production aka nationalization of private businesses. We are nowhere near that
Free Speech = Congress shall make no law to restrict it, and Congress has not done that
People of faith are NOT persecuted
Gun rights are looser than they have been since the wild west

That depravity became painfully obvious to me when I saw people spitting on the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend our country. I truly hate to say this, but a nation that spits on the people who defend it doesn't deserve to survive, and it won't. It has already become the proverbial dead man walking.

 

Ah, the 1960s. Yes, its terrible that people would spit on servicemen. They were barking at the wrong tree. Its also terrible that the politicians sent 2.7 million Americans to defend US from Vietnam, which was a nation that was totally incapable of ever hurting the US.

 

You see what you want to see. Because ONE "leftists" might have made a post in poor taste about unvaccinated covid deaths, you assume ALL "leftists" are your enemy. Why is that? Because the news media that you consume have trained you for years that it is, in fact, your political opposition that wants to bring America to its knees, and, therefore, you must fight them like you would fight any other mortal enemy. By doing so, i.e. stoking your fear of the other, they keep you tuning in and making money.

And you can't find any of today's corruption and depravation coming from the right. All un-anti American activity or ideology is being perpetrated by the political left.

IMO, America is just fine and don't need to be "saved" from all the imaginary dangers. People are divided for sure, which has been the case ever since the impeachment of Clinton. The two party system is the reason for the division, and at this point the two parties oppose each other across the board simply out of habit.

Comments like this is an example of why Americans come across so partisan, 'deprived' and beyond saving.

 

I often asked this question LONG before Covid, "Do you often feel, on the back of your neck, primal instinct style, that an unseen, unheard danger is lurking, can't put your finger on it yet you KNOW it's there"....the answer was always a resounding yes. I still ask it, only prefaced with, "Despite Covid do you...", and the answer is the same, YES! Try it with YOUR friends, family, co-workers...I'll wager you'll get the same response. Back in our more primitive days that primal instinct would have had us scampering up the nearest tree until it passed....problem is, IT AIN'T PASSING, maybe mostly muted but always there. Oh well, God keep us all, INCLUDING you Lefties.

 

That is exactly how they want you feeling. Fear. As long as you are afraid, and the politicians can present themselves as your savior, they can always count on your support / vote. They tell you there are enemies everywhere, - commies, muslims, socialists, gun-grabbers, vote riggers, marxists, etc..... and then they associate all those things to the opposing party and you'll be afraid and vote for your party. After all, you think things are already so bad that there will be CIVIL WAR, and the nation is beyond saving. Both parties do it, they just use different rhetoric, although the right wing relies on it far more heavily while the Dems rely more on promising things like 'free' health care etc.
