Isn't that how Dictators operate?? Round up up anyone that doesn't tow the party (er Trump ) line........and punish them. It is terrifying t think what would happen if he had absolute power........which is what he wants.

    "Swifty Consider!" Riveting!

These idiots better enjoy the majority while it lasts, because we are down to months before the GOP resumes control of Congress.

If the Biden Admin want to save America from minority rule and protect the rule of law, then they must act swiftly and purposefully. I don't get the hesitation, really I don't. if there is nothing there let show that. if there is something there, then those that facilitated the seditious conspiracy pay a fair price.
Hummmmm. You did not have the high powered lawyers??? ;)

So...out of curiosity....what legislative purpose does this committee hold? As far as I'm aware it does not hold any. It is simply a committee that is supposed to investigate what happened on 1/6. So...what is the legislative purpose here?

No link, I threw out a possibility, they can go in many directions. They have the expectation, the right and the purpose of congressional oversight.

Weren't you convinced that Trump would be re-elected?
Once the House votes to prosecute Bannon, the case will be conducted by the DOJ.

And we both know that Bannon can no longer count on a presidential pardon to get him off the hook.

Sometimes I wonder!? Can he tie the process up until Nov 2024 (or even the mid terms of 2022)? These people, Bannon, are corrupt zealots and they have powerful friends, backers and a megaphone.

Oh sure, and Trump's about to get indicted! We just need to get his taxes! Federal prosecutors are coordinating with County law enforcement to drag him out of palace in Florida! Donald Jr. is going to get indicted too! Maybe even Ivanka!

    No excitement without indictments.

Dirtbag Garland will be under Congressional Investigation for corruption in a matter of months. His vicious attack on School Board Moms in the service of his son-in-law who markets this CRT crap to public schools is grounds for resignation, as is his continuing cover up of the Hunter/Joe International Bribery scheme to sell to the highest bidders whatever federal office Crooked Joe happens to hold.

Thanks to Trump's tax return, Cyrus Vance did file fraud charges against the Trump Org. Right?

Trump, the biggest political victim in US history.

Don't forget to send him money, he needs your support to be reinstalled.

As you say so well: no excitement without indictments.

Yeah...that's what I thought. Yes, they have that. In so far as it is for the purpose of legislation. But that isn't really what these investigations are for are they? From Clinton to Bush to Obama to Trump to probably the next POTUS... they have nothing to do with actual legislative purposes. The fact that they can make up a claim such as you did doesn't change what these types of investigations really are and were and will be in the future.

Clinton, Bush nor Obama did not encourage a mob to go to the Capitol and challenge a fair and safe election, so no, you are not comparing apples to apples.

Neither did Trump. No matter how much you claim he did. Not that it matters. It doesn't matter what leads up to the investigations. They all have the same theme. Find dirt to smear the opposition. That is ALL that this is about.

Tell me. What legislation came out of investigating Clinton? Bush? Obama? Trump has had several investigations against him...did ANY of them produce actual legislation? No. Will this one? No, it won't. I've seen it happen time and again. You can try and pretend that this is some noble cause if you want. But if you actually believe that this will actually produce any sort of legislation... well...lets just say I hope you're not holding your breath. But I have a feeling that you know what I'm saying is true. You just don't care at this point in time. Because hey....TRUMP!

In bold, we simply disagree. That's why a proper investigation is required. As for trying to project blind partisanship onto me, I think you are incorrect and may need to be more introspective. People voted for Biden because most know that he actually cares, has a moral compass and that his heart is in the right place. Trump is all about himself period, he should never be a leader of any nation past or future. Of course, we are entitled to our opinions and that's what America is all about.

Can't see the forest for the trees. Again:

Tell me. What legislation came out of investigating Clinton? Bush? Obama? Trump has had several investigations against him...did ANY of them produce actual legislation? No. Will this one? No, it won't.

What I am talking about has nothing to actually do with Trump or Biden or Clinton, Bush etc etc. It has to do with how those in Congress are abusing their authority. And have been for decades. Until this is acknowledged by all its going to continue to happen. Is that really what we want?

You are still having problems equating Trump's failed, one can even say impotent, attempt at overturning the will of the American people with whatever you are off topic about. Can't help you, that entirely up to you with this. Sorry but your 'boy' is a failure even at trying to steal the 2020 election. Let's both hope he never gets that chance again. Congress has the hand to play.

And you're having problems removing Trump from your head. This isn't about Trump. Or any other POTUS. What don't you get about politicians from both sides using their power and our tax dollars to continuously attack each other?

And it will go before a judge and his lawyer will tell the judge that there are numerous criminal investigations into this matter and his client has no way of knowing if he is a target in one of those or will somehow face some charge and therefore respectfully declines to go under oath before such a committee and which should only be issue a subpoena to him for legislative matters. They are not a criminal investigative body. If that fails then his attorney will tell him to state his 5th Amendment rights to not have to testify before them.

Congressional subpoenas are not the same as those issued by a judge. Can a court force you to testify against yourself? Do you have a right to not have to take the stand?

Politicization: Biden says DOJ should prosecute witnesses who defy January 6 committee's subpoenas

Demands that Dirtbag Garland go after Biden's political enemies.

“Probably best @POTUS leave this to the AG,” tweeted David Axelrod with polite understatement after witnessing this spectacle.

Axelrod is probably hoping Biden is smart enough to quit digging, but, one thing Biden has never been known for, is being smart.
    Biden is such a moron.
