    He had a window to become President and elected not to pursue it. After that, he became just another politician IMO.

    Interesting. The first paragraph of the article posted in the OP clearly stated his status...

    "General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, passed away this morning due to complications from Covid 19," the Powell family wrote on Facebook, noting he was fully vaccinated.

    Wait... You are moving the goal post... again.

    You stated
    And I literally just shown you studies that have empirical evidence that the spike proteins of SARS-COV2 have absolutely mutated, hence the lessening of the vaccine effectiveness.

    And to merely just say we need a new vaccine while natural immunity has proven to be WAY more effective against the variant mutations so what maybe we should be looking at is allowing the healthy to live. Again, 99% of people who succumbed to COVID have at least 3 comorbidities with the median age being 70 years. This is not a disease of the unvaxxed, but the unhealthy. This is why the US lead the world in deaths as we are among the unhealthiest nation in the world.

    RIP General Powell, you are a good man who served our country well.

    I particularly liked this man for his intelligence and integrity. At the end of W’s administration, when I lived in Connecticut and was still involved in Republican politics, I worked hard to encourage him to run for President. He had by that time decided to remove himself from politics and devote time to his family. I was disappointed but admired him greatly.

    General Powell is going to be missed by nearly everyone.

    The thing I remember most about him was his encouraging and perpetuating the original big lie, which was that Saddam Hussein had WMD and the world was in immediate danger because of it. Of course he and others, namely W. Bush were dead wrong and caused countless deaths and God only knows how much money.

    He was also an avid Trump hater. That point along with him resenting Bush and voting twice for obama puts him in the unenviable position as being a political hack for left.

    BS, have you read or watched ALL major news sources this morning? ...

    I read of Powell's death on CNN.com this morning and the lead article clearly stated that he was vaccinated but unsure if he had received a booster ...

    Colin Powell did not die from COVID. He died from a serious form of blood cancer which destroys one’s immune system. He did die with COVID though.
