What sorts of red wine do you like? I hope we can also talk about the good wine here, which is God's gift for humanity. With "sorts" I do not mean countries or regions, but grape varieties. Which is cépage in French and Rebsorte in German. For instance: Rioja is a region in Spain, and Tempranillo is a grape variety. Chianti is a region in Italy, and Sangiovese is a grape varietty. Now i will put a short list to the vote. A list that is far from complete, as there are thousands of grape varieties.
Red wine gives me heartburn. I love sweet German wines... not Spatlese... but REALLY sweet... like Auslese.
dry wines have less carbs, so would choose that, but as not much of a wine drinker, not sure of names
Yes, Rose is much more palatable for me. But, admittedly, I'm a more cras kinda guy that prefers: Menu: "dirty" vodka martini, shrimp cocktail, another martini; "loaded baked potato”, VERY RARE Bone-In Ribeye; pitcher(s) of dark beer; flan; coffee w/Amaretto
I like Merlot, Cab Sav and the South African Pinotage, Australian red wines are superb, very smooth, best in the world except for Pinotage...which of course originated in South Africa I believe. I don't drink much these days...maybe I'll buy a bottle once or twice a year... I can't drink white wine the chemicals make me feel sick...even just one glass
A German starts a thread about wine and doesn't mention Riesling? Weird... I'm more of an amateur when it comes to wines (Beer is more my go to) but when I partake, I prefer a local Florida winery, San Sabastian's Vintner's Red.
CAN'T YOU READ?????????????? Here in this thread we talk about RED WINE!!!!!!!!!!!! FYI: Riesling is a WHITE WINE!
RIesling is a white wine. Here we are in the red wine section. Look there now: >>> http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/what-sorts-of-white-wine-do-you-like.594029/
I think the threads about wines are a waste of time here. And I thought that Americans also drink wine. Was I mistaken?
I like it very much myself. Here is some info about Pinotage. More: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinotage
Boxed... lol.. Well I don't really drink alcohol often, too busy drinking caffeine, but the cheap kind tastes about as good as the expensive kind to me.
I would never call wine just "alcohol". Wine is a noble drink, that also contains some alcohol. But drinking alcohol? Pure alcohol? I would never do that. Never ever. I say: "I enjoy a glass of Gewürztrmainer - or I injoy a glass of Carménère." But I would never say: "I am drinking alcohol".
