Doubt we will be getting rid of nukes anytime soon - things are going the reverse direction - China's new "space-craft" - hypersonic glide vehicle - being the latest example .. in response to US violation of arms treaty after arms treaty ... rushing towards the new arms race .. "Space -Force" Lets all weaponize space because a ballistic missle launched from Russia takes 30 min to get here .. far to long .. we want nukes in space above our heads .. 90 seconds away .. nothing like hair trigger apocalypse to get the blood flowing.

 

1) Yes you did .. you cried "Liar Liar" when another poster stated that Russia could wipe out the US with nukes. So while you did not use those exact words -- it is implied in your claim ..as Russia has the capability to fire all the nukes that they have. Don't confuse your lack of understanding of your own words - with someone telling lies.

2) Yes they did .. so what if they withdrew .. that is still violating the terms of the "Don't build ABM's" - -by building ABM's - party or not party to the treaty - quibble as you will over nonsense - . it was still moronic to build ABMs and put them on Russia's border

 

I'm simply saying that nukes have been used effectively, and nothing will stop people from attempting to emulate the tactic and weapon (surprise, 1st strike) until it's made obsolete.

None, but I have been involved in bringing cases to lower courts, and it's expensive and more.

I'm no lawyer, but I've taken law courses. I know that SCOTUS gives a rubber stamp approval to all US statutes. That rubber stamp approval will stand UNTIL some citizen or group can muster the financial effort to get the case to court. Thus part of your point is correct, but it fails to see the big picture.

A perfect example of that is the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850. It received that rubber stamp approval, but once the government started enforcing it, back in the days of informed and conscientious juries, there were many more acquittals than convictions. Jury nullification nullified that law. These days an informed and conscientious jury is as rare as hen's teeth.
