Underarms still stink with a shirt on as well, yet I still have to wear a shirt in every business. I think you are trying to have a point regarding masks but you're struggling a tad.

I wear my mask when places I visit tell me I have to. You know, rules and all. I also wear my shoes and shirts in these same establishments.

Her logic is that, since vaccination doesn't affect transmission, then mitigation efforts are the only things worth doing. I don't agree that masking is the answer and I don't think it makes sense to worry about the health of kids in school but her reason is science based.

If approval is coming, and if the government views vaccination as necessary, there is nothing unreasonable about preparing. I rarely agree with government and don't agree with it here but I wanted to correct misinformation.

 

We can put numbers to it. Wearing a bandana is around 10% effective. Wearing the typical masks you see people wearing is around 25% effective. At the high end N95 respirator masks are about 85% effective. I don't wear masks either. My approach was to get vaccinated instead.

 

Mine was get the virus. Lived through it, no trouble

So what’s the point of the vaccinated wearing masks? Are kids going to wear masks for the flu every winter even if they got the flu shot from now on?

 

Other than schools and medical places the law says has to require masks, I simply don’t do business in places that mandate them which are not many here.

Why not? For kids their age the flu is more deadly than covid is. So if they have to keep wearing after vaccination for this, the precedent will be set to do it all the time forever more.

 

Fortunately in the California city I live in, no business I know of is coercing on the matter now. I haven’t worn a mask as I stated before since I got my 2nd vaccine shot. No mask mandates outside of education and medical places here and no covid vax passports needed either.

 

These folks that mandate and then violate hate us and abuse us without hesitation. Make your voice clearly heard at the ballot box.
