Massie To Garland: Did Any Federal Agents Or Assets Enter The Capitol Or Incite Riot On January 6?

I was taking my usual tour through RealClearPolitics today when I came upon this curious article about a curious character - Ray Epps - who appears to be one of the instigators at the 1/6 cluster-foxtrot at the Capitol. Curiously enough, Mr. Epps has not been charged with anything, e.g., inciting a riot, conspiracy, etc., alongside several other people who curiously have not been charged, either. I'll post the article below, but the curiosity seems to have been aroused by Kentucky congressman Thomas Massie during his questioning of AG Merrick Garland last Thursday:

While I'm not about to leap to conclusions and I don't consider the presence of federal agents and assets at the Capitol to be anything unusual or suspicious, I do find it curious that Garland declined the opportunity to assure the public that federal agents were not agitating or inciting people to go into the Capitol.

This also comes on the heels of the DOJ's curious decision to withhold video footage from the public on "national security" grounds, some of which a federal judge recently ordered released, yet much remains hidden from the eyes and ears of the American people:

Obviously, that is a question that Rep. Massie wanted Merrick Garland to answer, but the AG refused, and the following article - the one I ran across at RCP today - might explain why Massie pressed him on the issue, and perhaps why Garland evaded. Up to this point I found the refusal to disclose the video footage the judge ordered released curious, but after reading the following article things appear to get only curiouser and curiouser:

Now, this is rather curious. It appears that Mr. Epps was inciting people to go in the Capitol and his identity has been known to the public for quite some time, so why haven't the Feds arrested him? Why haven't the Feds charged him with a crime?

If you were wondering what aroused Rep. Massie's curiosity perhaps now you know, and unfortunately AG Garland's refusal to assure the public that federal agents were not agitating people to go into the Capitol only raises more disturbing questions. If federal agents were agitating people to go into the Capitol, why were they inciting a riot (or insurrection) and who conspired with them to do so?

So many questions, so little willingness to answer them...

Let's watch Garland duck and weave and no doubt get his excuses from Democrats.

And they will side with Garland though he was not asked anything illegal.

To wit: Were Federal agents inciting violence.

The questions aren't going away. Garland & Co. aren't doing themselves any good refusing to answer them.

Do the crime, do the time. Last I checked, that goes for undercover cops who break the law, too.

Perhaps he would care to light the "incitement to insurrection" petard, instead?

Come to think of it, some of the "progressive" nomenklatura and apparatchiks in Washington may have already don't that...

Trump order agents to violate laws? Where did you get that idea? If that happened, Garland would have sold Trump down the river.

So, Trump got permission from Pelosi and Wray to have federal agents incite a riot at the Capitol?

    More "disturbing questions"?:bored: Lolwut?

    So?

    Here is Garland's statement:

one of the norms of the Justice Department is to not comment on impending ongoing investigations and not comment about particular scenes or particular individuals

Thus, Massie is a Complete Idiot for repeating questions (like a Mentally-Deranged Parrot with Tourette's) which he knew that Garland couldn't answer b/c they related to an ongoing investigation.

Let me get this straight (I wouldn't want to miss anything):

You find it Stupefying, Mind-Boggling, and Beyond Comprehension that a Major Law Enforcement Official would NOT answer questions in regards to an Ongoing Investigation?

I would suggest (before commenting again) that you obtain a better knowledge of why Law Enforcemeht Officials refuse to comment on ongoing investigations.

Best of luck in pursuing said knowledge. Godspeed.:flagus:

I don’t know what that means. If a someone starts rioting is everyone nearby under mind control and forced to participate?
I find it unlikely that’s what happened anyway.

He could have within the norms announced if there were not federal agents or assets urging the crowd to riot or enter the capital because none would be subject of the investigation.

So those that rioted were not under some Trump mind control you admit they did it on their own.

The justice Department has had a good 10 months to learn if the man was an agent or not.
Don't they know their own agents?

Recall too that many of the Capitol police opened up gates and doors to let the lawful protesters come in to have coffee and donuts with them.
