Step 1- allow illegals in to keep wages lower
    Step 2- create inflation
Step 3- do nothing to help the supply chain
    Step 4- increase taxes
    Step 5- create new taxes
Step 6- hire a transgender to make everyone feel good

Yup, that bout sums it up.

Inflation being caused by Biden's policies are a tax on everyone.

I feel for poor people and those on fixed incomes. The next few years are going to be ugly for them.

I am doing better than my contemporaries but am concerned about how long it will last. I have been offered a pretty big pay raise to stay until my company closes at the end of next year, but it would require me to sign a contract agreeing to stay until the lights are shut off. I am not sure whether to take it or start running for the nearest escape pod in this worker friendly labor market. If I stay, maybe there is a chance to start my own company toward the end and absorbing some of their business but the labor market may be cooled way off. If I run now, maybe I can find a job with a more secure and stable future in it. And if I take it, I will be jumping right into a new income tax bracket so a lot of the raise will be eaten up by taxes since I am unmarried with no dependents.

Now spin that the other way, and ask if those things reinforce democrat control.

Yup. Keep the people down, keep them looking to government to save them. Just vote Democrat.

I was convinced to stay at a job until they shut out the lights. But I signed no contract and stayed. They laid me off before they shut off the lights. So I do t ever trust people that say that now.

All my raise will land in the 22% tax bracket and my student loan payments are based on my income so 20% of that raise will go to the Department of Education. Add in state taxes and basically I would be getting 50 cents on the dollar--roughly $1K a month. If I weren't seriously considering trying to start my own business, I would take a pass on this offer. $14K between now and then would pay off my car which would be nice not to have to worry about if I am a starving upstart. IDK. I'll spend some time on Indeed in the next few days. At least I have options. Seniors citizens are effed, particularly since the government understates inflation to keep them from getting as big of COLA's. Likewise, I am not sure how many of these poor people realize that all that extra money they are getting every month means they won't be getting nearly as big of a tax check back come spring as they are used to.

Starting a business is something I would never advise against. I wish you the best if you take that path.

"When you go to the grocery store and it feels more expensive, that's because it is."

You'll 5% more, not including the auto fuel that's up half again.
Enough of the madness, vote for normalancy to return to America.

    1) For the first time in decades, job seekers are having the upper hand in the job market. Wages are going up. How does that fit with your "import illegals to keep wages low" narrative?
    2) I created a thread on this previously. There is nothing that makes Dem policies more inflationary than GOP policies. In fact, Trump's GOP congress spent more on the national credit card than any previous admin in the same time frame.
    3) Supply chain is a private sector issue. But, Biden is trying to remove the bottleneck of ships being unloaded in ports. Other than that, what exactly should government do to alleviate the problem, which is the REAL driver behind inflation?
4,5) Typical RW fear mongering. At least, Dems pretend like they are trying to pay for the spending. The GOP just cuts taxes, pretending that tax cuts pay for themselves.
    6) More culture warrior fear mongering. Those transgenders must really scare you.

just wait till he allows this next one in.

Why are you talking about the previous administration to Trump? No way Trump spent more in the time frame the Biden admin and will get worse once their bill is rammed through
no, commerce is a federal issue

pretend they’re trying to pay for it? Once this bill passes the deficit is going to sky rocket under Biden’s first fiscal year.

The Democrats moronic economic Recipe for disaster

Moronic? No. While a few people have most of the money, the majority of the population are voters. All of this is simply vote buying. Politicians have done it for as long as I can remember. That is why we have the burden of the government we have. It is those greedy voters that are the problem. The politicians are simply giving them what they want.

I can agree with that assessment in most part anyway. However the voters were told that anyone under 400k wouldn’t see a penny in tax increase. This bill is not doing that so it is more or less the democrats more so than the voters cause they’re not doing what they said they would do.

Perhaps you should educate yourself... or get a better job...or work another job...?

One thing is certain. Blaming dems won't upgrade that beanie weenie to a full turkey spread.

    Good luck.

Sorry, in my view those who believe politicians are fools. There isn't enough money in the possession of the wealthy to pay for all of this spending. If government took all their income it would only pay for less than half of it. I doubt government could raise enough tax from the population at large to pay for it without causing serious economic decline. The alternatives are debt and/or inflation caused by creating money from nothing. The only logical conclusion to me is that the marxists are bent on taking the country down so they can rebuild it to suit themselves. Their lust for power outweighs common sense and the common good.
