This hit really close to me because I to have been a victim of “reverse discrimination “ first off, I really hate the term “reverse discrimination “. Discrimination is discrimination 2nd, here is the story of when I was a victim of black privilege. Years ago I was a service quality coordinator. It’s basically a position where you listen to tech support calls and then coach the people on how they could have done better trouble shooting and or customer service skills and that kinda thing. I was in tech support for a couple years there, did very well and then they promoted me to the job I just described. I was at the new position for 2 years. This company did IT services for some pharma company but about 70 percent of their business was from ONE of these companies. When this pharma company didn’t renew the contract then that was game over for this company I worked fir They started downsizing. 2 weeks before this happened they hired this girl I’ll call “newbie” (who happened to be black) and my boss happened to be black. Well call her “boss lady” Well when the downsizing happened, boss lady gave me the boot (instead of the black girl that’s been there 2 weeks) and said “i could go back on the phones with my current salary”. I was kissed but I knew with all that black I didn’t stand a chance. I sucked it up and went back on the phones and the phone job also came with a 10% differential because they were crappy hours 2 weeks later, Newbie gets another job at another company and boss lady asks me to come back I said I’m getting more money currently and will only come back with the differential Bottom line. Racial job discrimination comes in ALL colors. Also. I’m an idiot for not having sued. This guy got 10 million!
Racism is a nonissue in America. However, what little racism exists is overwhelmingly directed at white people not coming from them. it’s nice to see racism towards whites finally being confronted and beaten. Hopefully we see more of that. For to long fake narratives such as white privilege, which doesn’t exist, have driven hate and racism towards white people with little discussion around it.
If you want to see in-your-face racism, then just open up Facebook, play Candy Crush or watch TV. Facebook rarely has ads featuring white people, their ads are either full of blacks, gays, or even trannies. Same with Candy Crush. But those are platforms playing the commercials of others. I have Comcast and when they can't sell commercial time during a show they run their own commercials, sometimes 2 or 3 in a row when the show sucks and they can't sell advertising. When you watch their commercials you would think there are no white people on the planet, none. At the very least, you'd never know white people work for Comcast. I'm sure many of you would like to be in a commercial and be paid every time it ran. But with so many blacks dominating commercials at a rate far higher than their population percentage, then you know the producers of those commercials is saying "bring me blacks and only blacks' and white people just need to stay the F home.
I recently read about a nurse (I think it was in the UK) being fired for wearing a crucifix necklace to work. While her colleagues were free to wear hijabs, Star of David necklaces, and various Hindu paraphernalia, she was singled out and fired. This actually happened, it's not an exageration or warping of facts. She's decided to pursue legally, and more power to her for doing so. The very clear discrimination should make her rich. Incidentally, she's black, and was fired by white people. But of course .. 'not racism'.

This is an excellent example of these civil rights laws at work. I too wish we would stop talking about 'reverse discrimination'. These laws do not refer to discrimination against black people, or women, or homosexuals. they refer to discrimination based on race, sex, and sexual orientation( when included). I wish I knew more about exactly what moved the dial with the jurors on this because the coverage of the story is not telling me what convinced them which side was telling the truth, but convinced they were! The burden of proof was met, that this company fired this man based at least in part on his race/gender, rather than performance. My guess was that evidence of 'pattern of conduct' with other white male managers being termed and replaced similarly at the same time was important. In any case the verdict itself is enough for me!
