1991 Federal case where a judge charged Trump with engaging in a conspiracy to avoid paying union workers with damages set at 325k. At trial it came out that Trump sought advice about the illegal workers—not Mexican—he’d hired hence the judgement against him. There was a negotiated settlement in the case.

I doubt he knew of individual cases at his golf courses at the time of hiring though he likely knew of organization’s practice to gain temporary visas to fill positions Americans would do to save a few bucks.

Not hardly. There are many pieces to this puzzle, it's not just the laws concerning trucks. California has implemeneted a whole string of laws which make operating in CA a nightmare that more and more people find to broken for them to make a living.

California's laws have aced out about 40% of US truckers, then pile on top of that California's AB5 regulations, and 60% of truckers cannot operate in CA. Now Biden would like to see more truckers be taken off the job for refusing his vax mandates.

It's as if the Democrats are working together to try and take down our economy, in ways that will take a generation or more to fix. Once trucker retire, where will we get the drivers to replace them? Young people today have been told to go to college, and there is almost a disdain for blue collar jobs such as the trades and trucking.

 

California's laws are new, they were signed in 2019. A judge placed a stay on the law, and the 9th circuit court removed the stay, just in time for all the pieces to fall into place and cause havoc in 2021. Joe doesn't care, he'd gleefully fire half of the truckers in the US for not bending the knee to his vax mandates.
