Wisconsin has Two-Strike rule which mandates life sentence, but the crimes need to be severe: murder, rape, aggravated cases of robbery, sexual abuse or child sexual abuse etc

Obviously this individual had no respect for the law, but he had not been guilty of severe crimes. Here in Florida we also have Two-Strike law, which his based on "seven deadly sins": murder, rape, armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, or aggravated child molestation.

It does not sound like race or politics had anything to do with this incident, but people here are working hard to make it about those issues.
