Longtime Oregon Rep. Peter DeFazio won't seek reelection (msn.com)

Rep. Peter DeFazio, the longest serving U.S. House member in Oregon’s history and a staunch advocate for environmental issues, said Wednesday he is retiring and will not seek reelection next year.

The 74-year-old Democrat is the powerful chairman of the House Transportation Committee.

It is time for this guy to retire, is he leaving because he is scared, that he will not get reelected. or just retirement, who knows I read his seat was safe but I want libertarians to try and get this seat, The guy is from Boston which is over run by leftists,

I guess it's time to cash in.

However the idea that Libertarians are going to grab this seat is silly. Best they can do is be spoilers.

This seat is undoubtedly going to stay in Democratic hands. He was a good man who did the job well enough. I wish him well in retirement.

There's actually a lot of similarities between Boston and Portland, Oregon.
It's not that surprising he moved there.
