Rittenhouse did not break any laws and lawfully defended himself from criminals attacking him
Crumbley entered a school illegally and was an active shooter murdering students

But you don't know the difference?

There is no Trumpist movement. Fake claim and exaggerations

Fake claim and nothing but fake fear mongering.

Oh, so only Democrats are responsible gun owners?
Again, more fake claims and exaggerations

He was a Democrat out HUNTING Republicans. How many Republicans were out hunting Democrats again?
Guess that puts your whole right wing gun nuts theory to bed.

You can act like you're blind to the fact that 24 cities run by leftist Mayors ONLY allowed 8 months of rioting totaling over 574 riots, without police or NG intervention, killing 14 Americans and injuring thousands of law enforcement officers, but you can't sell it. Looting and burning American businesses costing billions in damages because leftist idiotic Mayors ALLOWED them to riot and burn along with team members of Biden and Harris bailing these rioters out of jail to loot and burn again.

If you have a right wing Mayor who allowed 8 months of riots you would have posted it.
You know it, I know it, and everyone on this board knows it.

I have guns and have trained my kids well. But I would never allow one of them to go to a riot and protect property unless I was with them.
We went to Texas and took my Airboat to help during the hurricane relief effort. We evacuated hundreds of stranded people throughout the night. Both of them were armed and were given explicit instructions prior to entering the area. We were approached twice during the night by individuals telling us to get off the boat. When they heard the bolts drop on the two ARs and one pump from the 12 gauge, they decided to run. Mission accomplished.

We have been to 4 hurricane disaster sites evacuating people who stayed behind. In all but one site, we were approached at night by individuals who had ulterior motives. Had they continued to try and board the boat they would have been shot. Fortunately, none of them were actually dumb enough to attack someone with a gun, unlike the shootings in Kenosha.

I would never ever allow my two sons to enter an environment like that unarmed or without me. Yes, a mother allowing a 17 year old to guard property in a riot is idiotic.

    Impervious? No.
Living my life in a perpetual state of fear so I feel the need to be armed? Hell no.

IMO, the excuses and reasoning I've read do not justify charging the Parents for the actions of their Son.

Feeling the need to have it loaded and next to the bed means you’re so scared that you aren’t comfortable without it.
Owning a gun for hunting is different.

There is no Trumpist movement. There is a strong populist segment of Americans that Trump took the opportunity to ride to victory in 2016. American populism was growing strong before Trump and will continue to grow stronger after Trump.

The two imbeciles were just caught holed up and hiding out in a vacant building by police. They are directly responsible for raising their sick, hateful kid and buying him a semi automatic pistol for Christmas. Let the courts decide their fates. Idiocy like theirs can not be dismissed lightly. Let the chips fall where they may. I would give odds that these two are Trump voters.

Well, there still have to be laws broken before there can be a conviction. At this point the parents' being charged for something doesn't mean much. Right now they seem at least negligent in parenthood but things can seem much different when a trial begins.

What make you think they're Trump supporters?

My prediction is that after Trump is either convicted of crimes and tossed in jail or loses again, this idiocy will come to an end and America will get back to normal. Huey Long was a true populist. He attacked giant corrupt corporations and millionaires on behalf of regular working Americans. Trump did just the opposite. Giant permanent tax cuts for corporations and billionaires, token. chump change, temporary tax cuts for working Americans. I would be happy to support a real populist who would reform our monetary and tax policies which would make billionaires and international corporations pay their fair share, reestablish usury laws to pre 1960s status and regulate the bank swindlers, pharmaceutical giants and petroleum barons instead of coddling them in exchange for billions in campaign donations.

I read their texts leading up to the murders. What makes you think they are not?

That's nice but this conversation doesn't belong here unless you had children living with you.

At night just locked the gun in the drawer next to the bed and and keep the key on a string around the neck.

Why not encase it in concrete. You can always chip the concrete away in an emergency.

I am pro 2nd A with proper respect of what a gun can be used for (IOW, responsible gun ownership) but you are spot on, the blame game is easier than dealing with the school shootings issue which is tragically American. The party of personal responsibility is always on "it's the other guys" fault while the democrats always blame the guns. The kid is messed up and is now ****ed for life and his parents leave a lot to be desired.

I could be wrong, but you seem determined to make excuses for these miserable parents, who bought their emotionally disturbed child a lethal weapon. They seem to have been oblivious to their child's demeanor. I wonder if they even bothered to get him some gun safety classes? How did it never even cross their minds what he might do with a gun? It seems that all the usual signs were there.

They deserve to be charged with manslaughter, IMO. They were extremely negligent.

In fact, I did not do that until all our children were grown and moved away.

Lots of people live where there’s no chance of crime.
Those that don’t should probably mind their own security.

Really? The school faculty are paid to teach, not act as police officers. Looks like the blame game has started up already. Furthermore if the kid didn't have access to a gun, this wouldn't have happened in the first place.
