Oh give me a break I've been in unions, I have been in management of a union workforce and I have worked as a contractor with a union workforce. I've seen far more bad union workers than non-union because they know even the most absurd claims can be made and the bias'd NLRB arbitrators will rule for the union. I could tell you horror stories about unions and how inefficient and unpleasant a workplace they can make. As I said the workers in Alabama my state were far more unionized in the past and they saw the unions drive those out telling them to take hike on the way out. Now they want nothing to do with unions anymore and this vote was just one example. The two unions I had to join, in right to work states, did NOTHING for me except hold back my advancement and pay.

Read the reporting it is the only specific thing, call KEY, that could be cited other than AN unnamed worker's vague statement about DUH the company could close the location if it went union.

Tell me, what has changed that makes your statement true? That workplaces are completely safe now, that employers always treat workers equally and fairly, that employers are willing and eager to give workers raises, health care benefits, retirements? Union membership has declined, and guess what, now YOU are responsible for your retirement plan, using your money. Sure, they match x % (sometimes), but they can change that in a moment with no notice.
Maybe your were lucky enough to have had a great career working for a great company, but many are not.
Besides, you will hate unions no matter what.
My theory is that the Republican party has been demonizing unions for many years because they are perceived as Democrat supporters. It's actually an easy target.

I'll bet you've never been to an NLRB arbitration hearing, judging from your comment. I think you hear only what you want to hear, and believe only what you want to believe. I'm not claiming they are perfect, in fact, I see many "wrong" things with them. But I have seen enough to know we are better off with them than without them.

You just made that up! ROFL! I can't believe you wrote that.

They have already shown that the masks hurt their development socially and with their education. You are wrong yet again... does it get old?

Unions destroy productivity. Read the bible on the subject.

Scientific Management - Book - Link

Unions, Socialism, Communism, bring on what they call "soldiering". That is where employees work down to the lowest common denominator. There's a lot more to it, I could explain more, but perhaps you too should read the book.

I don't need to go to the hearing to know the results of the hearings I have been in management of union work force several times. I see the reality and I have seen a workforces better off without them through out my working career. I've seen how unions and union business managers rip off those they pretend to be protecting and representing in order to protect their own interest and no they are not same with their crooked dealings behind the members backs. I've seen plants closed against the wishes of the workers because the unions refused to act on their behalf. THAT is why unions have been run out of the South and about everywhere else in the country.

The union was rejected by over SEVENTY PERCENT here, what happened to respecting the democratic process? And BTW the union here wanted to get rid of the secret ballot so they could try to intimidate the workers here.

The LAST persons I ever wanted handling my retirement were union business managers do you even have a clue as to the history of unions the union pension fund money and the mafia? You BETCHA I controlled my own money in my retirement accounts and now have a very nice nest egg to support my retirement. Yes OSHA is now in charge of workplace safety and INSURANCE COMPANIES. They both require the employers to meet standards and THE COMPANIES THEMSELVES. There is no difference to be measured in the amount of safety and safety training that goes on in union and non-union shops these days. I don't want to be treated as a group as just one of every other employee, I was better than that I wanted to go as far as I COULD TAKE MYSELF not held back by union rules. And my career wasn't about luck.

KEY component read the articles cited. Only ONE person is asserted to have said anything about the company closing.

Mailbox stirs controversy in Amazon union vote

Union organizers say a mailbox recently installed at Amazon’s Bessemer fulfillment center, along with mailed instructions on how to vote no in an ongoing union vote, are unprecedented tactics to thwart employees seeking to organize.

“We’ve never seen anything like this before, and it’s pretty disgusting,” Stuart Appelbaum, president of the Retail, Wholesale & Department Store Union (RWDSU) said today. “Amazon keeps pushing and breaking boundaries in its efforts to prevent its workforce from having a union.”.....

"Kids adjust, they adapt, and when they don't have to wear them, they'll adapt again. ... It's a very fluid, dynamic kind of learning. And development is obviously not linear. There's ups and downs, even in days before face masks."

Another encouragement is that children living in cultures where face coverings are the norm still learn to communicate, Learmonth said. "There are lots of ways across the world to speak to small children, and they all work."

Your own link and quote just nuked your argument. I don't have to bring up Scientific Americas article on how it hurts development.

Perhaps you should bring up something that shows you are not making it up. Something legit.

Yes, I know the history. They ripped off money from the union pension fund. That was a horrible way for any union official to behave. But a very small representation of the whole. BY FAR, most union officials are hard working, America loving, good people. The hard work of the unions carries throughout industries and benfits all. Non-union industry in my area has their wages increased because of the wage level union facility in the area to compete for employees. How is that a bad thing? I'm judging by what I've seen and read also, and being very involved in union activities for a long period of time. What you're doing is judging them all by the actions of a few.
I'm glad you were successful in your career. You should consider that over that time, how unions may have improved your career.
By the way, if you think OSHA will keep you safe by itself, you are delusional. Collective bargaining benefits all American workers, but there are negatives. IMO, they are outweighed by the positives.
You still didn't answer my question, but that's ok.

No it was the HEADS of the national unions and did you miss the 14 UAW officials being charged last year?

"Eleven UAW officials and a late official’s spouse have pleaded guilty since 2017, including former presidents Dennis Williams and Gary Jones. Not all the crimes were connected. The first wave of convictions involved taking money from a Fiat Chrysler-UAW training center in Detroit.

Other crimes involved kickbacks from union contractors and tapping UAW money for golf, vacation villas and gourmet meals. Some Fiat Chrysler officials were convicted for their roles in the training center embezzlements."

I am judging by the decades of greed and corruptness. I am judging by my own dealings with unions.

Not a single union improved my career and held it back the two times I had to join one.

OSHA alone no as I said the insurance companies and the companies themselves who have learned the cost of job loss injuries. Unions driving it anymore.

And yea I did answer your question what are you thinking I did not answer?

Answer mine why shouldn't the NLRB respect the vote of the workers, why are the kowtowing to the union?

They evidently saw evidence that the company had used coercion to influence the vote. Honestly, the companies almost always try to coerce the employees to not vote for the union. They must have gone a little too far this time, but, eventually, they will hold another vote and then the chips will fall where they may.
I don't think it has anything to do with respect or lack of for the vote of the workers.
Exactly what about this situation do you find so offensive? They held a vote, the union officials didn't like something the company did, the NRLB ruled they were right, they are going to re-vote. Why would this bother you so much?
The question was "what has changed?" after you said "WERE perhaps but not now" responding to my statement that unions were good things.

A mail box on the property convinced SEVENTY PERCENT to vote against the union? Please explain how. As I said the NLRB is not about labor it is about UNIONS. The workers have spoken, yes it bothers me when the government uses it's power to void that vote because it didn't go the way of the union. Why don't you respect the OVERWHELMING voice of the workers?

I gave you the changes and as you noted "were PERHAPS". This is about NOW.

Because the mail box wasn't the only factor. You didn't read your own linked article if you think that.
They decided to hold a revote based on the fact that the company "illegally" used coercion.
