do you think the only options are police abuse or let them get to members of congress?

we saw what the thugs did to police on 1-6, that was insane

Look conspiracy theories aside I can think of one reason Putin would want Donald Trump as president.

“NATO was set up at a different time. NATO was set up when we were a richer country. We’re not a rich country anymore. We’re borrowing, we’re borrowing all of this money...NATO is costing us a fortune and yes, we’re protecting Europe with NATO but we’re spending a lot of money. Number one, I think the distribution of costs has to be changed. I think NATO as a concept is good, but it is not as good as it was when it first evolved.”.

"Trump: Yes, because it’s costing us too much money. And frankly they have to put up more money. They’re going to have to put some up also. We’re playing disproportionately. It’s too much. And frankly it’s a different world than it was when we originally conceived of the idea. And everybody got together."

“I said here’s the problem with NATO: it’s obsolete. Big statement to make when you don’t know that much about it, but I learn quickly.”

"Looks like I was right about NATO. I had no doubt. https://t.co/x6Ne3sjAWz"
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 8, 2016
"See, when I said NATO was obsolete because of no terrorism protection, they made the change without giving me credit.https://t.co/sRCF1H3rjg"
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 6, 2016

“We’re going to have surrounding states and, very importantly, get NATO involved because we support NATO far more than we should, frankly, because you have a lot of countries that aren’t doing what they’re supposed to be doing.”

“I took such heat, when I said NATO was obsolete. It’s obsolete because it wasn’t taking care of terror. I took a lot of heat for two days. And then they started saying Trump is right.”

Now it you are Vladmir Putin, and you hear that coming out of a candidate for President of the United States you would be crazy not to find some way to help elect him if you could. Trump didn't even have to know about it. There is no way after he said that, that you could convince me that Russian intelligence was not trying to help him get elected if nothing else through Internet trolls, and listen he might be right, but Putin knows A. Europe is not going to increase defense spending, and B. This will cause some disagreement in NATO.

He would have to be a complete Idiot to not push that, and say what you want about him, Putin is no idiot.

What I've read and observed is, due to the hundreds of ongoing criminal cases against the INSURRECTIONISTS the government is playing it's card's very close to it's chest.

Since you are all knowing on this matter you should put up some links and edify the rest of us.

Trump supporters should be happy to see that trump is still getting a lot of attention. ......even if i ti is negative attention.;-)

Attention of any kind keeps him on the radar..........

Personally, I think that Putin saw through Trump....... and saw his ineffectiveness......... So Trump would have been a useful "idiot" for Putin to manipulate ........and further the split in this country. Putin knows that trump has a thing about authoritarian leaders...........and literally worships them. That puts Trump at a great disadvantage.......... but he wants to emulate these type of leaders and have the same control and power.

A country divided is a country vulnerable /weakened ..............and Putin wants the US vulnerable ........as that would validate his belief that democracy does not work.

Did Putin"respect" Trump. Not a chance..........Putin is smarter than that. While trump's ego gets in the way of his seeing the realty of a situation

Kinda scary to see that some wanted it to succeed. Seems they really want to splinter the country even further.

At the rate things are going.......this country will have to change its name. (united , doe snot apply)

Putin sees this ..........and is manipulative and clever enough to use misinformation to dive the wedge even further.

Having a file on someone doesn't imply anything.

The FBI has an extensive file on me for obvious reasons (multiple teaching jobs).

Unfortunately I don't believe government sources. The premise is illogical.

I can but don't always want to read. Since I disagree with your premise, I also disagree with your evidence, whatever that is. Unfortunately your comments hold little credibility with me.

The premise is quite logical, trump has business interests in Russia now do you really think that Putin would hesitate to use those interests to influence trump into making decisions in Russia's favor?

As far as I can tell Trump had interest but no business activity in Russia. I view the issue as more partisan than fact.

From the atlantic.Trump's Been Talking About His Business Interests in Russia for 30 Years - The Atlantic

Trump’s Been Talking About His Business Interests in Russia for 30 Years
The president’s enlisting “a leading law firm” to insist he has no connections to the country—something he could prove if he just released his tax returns.
