So it sounds as if we have an administration that will cave to threats. Given his Afghanistan evacuation policy of “run away with your tail tucked” I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.

We should not have negotiated with terrorists under Trump, now we’re negotiating under Biden with essentially the exact same thing only they own more land. Neither situation will prove fruitful in the long haul

And the alternative is war. Do you think Russia is joking when it says it has been pushed into a corner with no other choice? Well guess again?

Unlike some others in our sphere,
to me Russia is: 'Mother Dear'.

So if you try to break her heart
and vilely try to grab a part,

through devious means with lies and guile
which as we know is your style.

Then also know you'll suffer ill
and find it a very bitter pill.

As others have who came before
and didn't know what was in store

    for them. - Jeannette

Do you suggest running like a whipped dog every time someone throws the word war out. We’re going to get in a war with Russia sooner or later. May as well get it going. They’re interests all to often conflict with ours. If you think it won’t happen you’re not thinking too in depth about it.

I know it will happen, because our impositions and control on the world, have brought it to a level where there is no alternative. A great adjustment is needed to bring man back to his senses, otherwise civilization cannot survive.

The meeting between Putin and Biden will be on January 10, 2022. The talks though will not focus on Ukraine, they will focus on the security of Russia and by extension Europe.

Russia is demanding that the US gives written guarantees that Nato will not move further east. Also, that the American missiles in Poland and Romania will be removed within a specific time period. Putin will not be bogged down with endless talks while the US keeps supplying arms to Ukraine.

If the US does not comply, then Europe and the US will be faced with an equal and even greater threat from Russia. Putin is not mister nice guy anymore. As one writer said, beware of a peaceful man when he becomes angry.

At what point did Putin (ex KGB) shift from 'peace' to 'war' ??
    With Chechna, Georgia, Crimea, Ukraine??

Please identify when this murderer shifted his position.
It the question is too hard - just forget I wrote it.

Trump negotiated the capitulation in Afghanistan with the Taliban. And Biden has done more to stand up to Putin than Trump ever would. What have we caved to with Putin? Specifically. How have we caved? Not even your own article claims that we have actually done so. And anyone who has been keeping up with the news can see that Putin is just trying to play tough against our threats of sanctions.

Use your brains Poohbear. Oh that's right. Now a days knowledge isn't important, only self-esteem matters.

Chechnya like Syria was infiltrated by terrorists from the Gulf states, and guess who was embedded with them? CIA agents of course just like they were in Syria.

As for Georgia, guess again. It was the American stooge Mikheil Saakashvili that attacked and killed Russian peacekeepers and civilians. This time though when Ukraine attacks, as it's being geared to do by the neo cons, Russia will not pull out the way they did in Georgia. They will free the Russian people from the neo-Nazi junta once and for all.

And as for Crimea, it was invaded and occupied by Ukraine in 1995, and after the pogrom against them by the
neo-Nazis in 2014, they voted to join Russia. Sorry! But like the Hague said with Kosovo, everyone has the right to their own self-determination.
Oh you're talking about Biden? I thought you were talking about Putin. But he's not worse than our other presidents. I think Clinton was the worse since he was the first to go against the UN when he bombed Belgrade - and killed quite a few thousands. But then again there was Obama when he bombed and destroyed the richest nation in Africa, Libya. Now we're still in Syria and stealing their oil, and it goes on and on.

and leave aside your stress and strife

But you said Putin was once a man of peace, here you are 'explaining' why he was starting wars.

I recall about 2 months ago before the lies started about Russian troops ready to attack Ukraine (when in reality half the Ukrainian army has been sitting in trenches since May) reading that some neo con writers in Washington were suggesting a war between Ukraine and Russia - and as we know, what the neo cons want the neo cons get whether it's Iraq, Libya, Serbia, Syria and Ukraine.

Instead of looking at Russia's concerns over its security and thinking of what can be done to maintain peace, what we're hearing is more aggression and more threats towards Russia from the neo cons and their stooges in Nato. This means war is inevitable.

If Russia wants war, we have more than enough nukes to give them war.

Let's start by nuking Leningrad. Lots of old wooden buildings there. Should make for a nice hot fire.

See what I wrote above about nuclear war.

Neither were occupied by terrorists. Those were merely people who were trying to prevent Assad and Putin from massacring them.

No, it was Russia that invaded Georgia. Georgia merely defended themselves.

Russia has not pulled out. They continue to occupy parts of Georgia.

The west will provide Ukraine with weapons to defend themselves with.

The West will also move heavy forces further east nearer Russia's border. Maybe that will even include those long-range missiles that Putin whines about.

NATO was wrong to steal Kosovo from Serbia. And it does undermine their standing to complain about Russia's invasions.

That bombing was justice for the victims of Pan Am 103.

We are doing no such thing.

    Doesn't look like Putin.
There's an on-going discussion about whether or when Putin will ban the Internet in Russia.
Clearly there are things he doesn't want his 'own' people to know.

This evil man came to Australia and PROMISED to 'co-operate' with a full investigation
into the downing of MF17. I think it's time to expell Russia from international airline agreements
involving security for one, landing rights two and fly-over rights three.

I remember a Republican president doing the exact same thing with Vietnam. But it's always going to be messy when the US loses the war.

I am not sure America 'lost' the war in Afghanistan. Technically yes, they did.
    But...
America's aim wasn't the Taliban but Al Quaeda. The Taliban refused to hand
him over because Osama bin Laden was a 'guest.' Having taken the country
there was this problem of what to do next. Stay forever? The US needed to
find moderate partners to allow them to extricate themselves, and this proved
    a failure.

Should a global war errupt again one day (not if but when) I wouldn't be surprised
if America went back to the Afghan and Pakistan Taliban and wiped them off the
    face of the earth.

Uhhh! Excuse me, but I saw the Russian satellite photo and there was a Ukrainian jet next to the airliner, but all we every saw and heard from Obama was: "Trust me".

Evil are those who commit crimes and cover them up by blaming others, so how about knowing the facts before perpetuating them.

The airliner was shot down by Ukrainians under the orders of the then Gov. Ihor Kolomoisky, the most evil man in the world. It was mistaken for Putin's plane since it was the same size and color. Putin was on his way back from Brazil and had left the Warsaw airport 2 hours before. His flight would have been heading for the Rostov military airport and taken him over Ukraine. The pilot was
deliberately told to fly lower than usual over a war zone because of non-existence weather conditions.

At the time there were stories about a Spanish blogger who was a controller at the airport in Kiev and was freaking out about Ukraine knocking down the airliner. It's doubtful they let him live, but what he said was that men speaking a foreign language came into the control tower at the time the plane fell, and that a certain department in the Kiev government knew the plane was shot down which means they were involved, but another department didn't know about it.

Now here's some more reality for you. The
investigative journalist Robert Parry of Consortium News said that there was company called Burisma Holdings that was spreading big bucks around Washington to keep the blame on Vladimir Putin. This is the company Biden's son worked for. At the time the owner was Ihor Kolomoisky and I guess since he couldn't assassinate Vladimir Putin, he decided to blame him for what they did.

Parry also said that the Intelligence officer he knew in Washington said that the men arming the Buk in their satellite photo were wearing Ukrainian uniforms. This would account as to why the US never showed any photos when there were 3 US satellites over Ukraine at the time. In contrast Russia did show its satellite photo, and in it a Ukrainian jet was next to the plane just as the eye witnesses said. That interview though was not allowed to be shown on the BBC.

When Parry asked the Intelligence Agent why they weren't disclosing the truth to the Amercan people since they knew for sure that it wasn't the Russians, the answer was: "Russia has everything going for it in Ukraine, but all we have is our propaganda." In other words our lies.

As for the mega criminal Ihor Kolomoisky, he owns airlines and was involved with security in the airports of Amsterdam and Kiev, which means the foreign men who entered the control tower were probably his men. Kolomoisky was also caught drunk on a video by some Russian pranksters, and when told that there's talk that it was his boys that knocked down the airliner he said: "It's not a big thing, it was meant for another plane and the airliner was hit instead." Naturally the video was removed.

As we see, censorship is alive and well in our Washington neo con controlled world. The big bucks now being thrown around is for a war between Ukraine and Russia.

I love Ukraine, for all the gain
    that they have given me.

And will not wane in throwing blame

    for all their misery,

on Russia with its evil men

    who haven't done them right.

We'll send them arms for all those harms

to help them win their fight. - Jeannette
