Yes, I know it's all the same social program in NYC. There are plenty more where that came from too.

You act like these social experiments have never been tried before. They have, and they fail every time. San Francisco has thrown billions at the problem of homelessness and mental illness, and it's basically been like throwing Miracle-Gro on the problems.

You act like these democrat social program experiments have never been tired before. They have, and they fail miserably every time.

It wasn't just de Blasios's wife. The disastrous socialist mayor himself wasted $750 million of the taxpayer's money on school-related social programs, and that experiment was a dismal flop too.

The programs for homelessness in SF were never intended to solve the issue, but to deal with the issue. And while SF ranks high in the homelessness problem, it's not ranked that high in the crime, to even not to be found on the list. You tell me how that is possible.

That got 25% out of trouble permanently, 25% got axed and the others will keep on getting the support... but without the "Renewal" label. So they are going through with the "disaster". And it's not as if a social program got a 100 success rate theme, since it's sometimes simply not possible. Your portrayal that it's all sucked, is totally not accurate.

Because when you stop arresting the criminals who are committing crimes, the number of crimes recorded in the stats goes down.

    See how that works?

Your puny leftist mind tricks don't work on me, Jedi.

Aha. If your argument is that cops will have to investigate if the murder / rape was done by a homeless or not, to see if they have to disregard it... all for the sake to record less violent crime to make the city look safe, then good for you for pushing this conspiracy theory.

No, that's not my argument at all.

Murder isn't one of the stats that dropped in San Fran, quite the opposite happened, so your argument about conspiracy theories to skew such stats is a non-starter.

notme made the following claim about San Fran- "it's not ranked that high in the crime"

Of course, that's a ridiculous claim that will be laughed at by the residents of San Francisco-

BUT, if no arrests are made, than no crime was committed, and so no crime gets recorded on the books, and then the property crimes stats go down PRESTO ALAKAZAM! and then San Fran isn't ranked high in crime. Nothing to see here... move along...

Of course, you'd have to be a complete dunce not to see through the laughably-apparent numbers trick, but there of plenty of dunces who get duped by it.

    You're all over the place.

We were discussing social plans, and the success of it. You dragged in the homeless problem and with that claim the social program about it doesn't work. I noted that the program has nothing to do with ending the homeless problem, while I noted that SF isn't high on the list of most criminal cities. You argued that it is so, because they do not report it all. But you're not proving that they aren't reporting crime.

And I know where this idea comes from. The police reform plan from June 2020 is only about not responding to non criminal activities from homeless people (among people).
    https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/loc...e-wont-respond-to-non-criminal-calls/2307892/

It's that and Proposition 47, which changes the idea that some felonies are now misdemeanors. But it doesn't mean that cops are not recording misdemeanors.

Of course they're not recording crime. It's blatantly obvious.

Why would they be recording shoplifting crimes when shoplifting has been decriminalized? Storeowners aren't even bothering to call the police to report shoplifting, because why would they bother, when it will accomplish nothing?

How are shoplifting crimes being officially recorded, when they're not reported, the police don't get involved, and nobody gets arrested?

This has nothing to do with social programs, and claiming how they fail / defunding the police.
And prop 47 isn't making anything like shoplifting legal. And that is what you're claiming it is, when arguing how such things are not reported.
You've trolled so hard off topic. It's just pure nonsense.
