The power of one warhead of the Bulava missile is 100 times more powerful than that of bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
This is about 300 kt in TNT equivalent, if you count the maximum power of the "Baby".
The separable warheads of the Bulava missile are capable of hitting different targets - 1 warhead - 1 target. The missile can carry 10 warheads.
Anyone who is interested can calculate the consequences if the submarine shoots.
Given the fact that it is very difficult to track a submarine, such a submarine, even one, will pose a serious threat. But imagine two or three...or more.
Did you add the fact of the minimum flight time of a rocket and warheads to the equation? Which are almost impossible to shoot down.
In the event of a war .... however, imagine for yourself what will happen in the event of a war.
And if, as they suggest, there will be a base in Cuba, for example.. And if there is another base, for example, in Venezuela, Nicaragua... or somewhere else nearby?

I know that there are many American submarines near Russia and missiles in Europe. So what? For the United States, the main thing is Russian submarines near their shores.
All the world wars the United States managed to sit out across the ocean. Today this is not the case. And this is a completely different situation.
There will be a war, there will be missile strikes from both sides. It will not be possible to get by with a war on foreign territory.

So what? Missile strikes on US territory would be met with worse for the attacker.

Hey, they might get scuttled at the bottom of the ocean and/or hit by an electro magnetic pulse. My source for this is as credible as any Putinski propaganda site.

Nothing wrong with my provider...fact remains there's several US boomers right close to Russias shore....probably undetected by the Russkis...Putler even stated once that Russia has no idea where some US subs can be lurking....which suggests they are blind to a sub attack.

A Huge Floating Drydock Sank and Nearly took Russia’s Only Aircraft Carrier with It

The Russians one and only one aircraft carrier needed to be towed to their floating dry-dock which promptly sank. I am far more worried about one of those subs goes Chernobyl off the U.S. shore due to lack of maintenance of the reactor.

You can thank Reagan for this stuff. If it were up to the Democrats, the military would be using WW 1 surplus equipment. I doubt if the Russians have kept up.

Yes I'm sure that Vladdy Daddy has calculated the consequences. He's just being a troll.

I'm sure "Washington" is shaking in their boots.

The US has missile subs all over the world too. It's called MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction). Nothing has changed since Nikita Khruschev was Supreme Soviet Leader.

Can I ask why you trying to troll Americans with this? From my point of view you are scared S%$@&less because you do imagine what will happen in the event of a war you are doing everything in your power to try to not have the US blast your country back to the stone age if your leader does something stupid in Ukraine. Because if you were confident why would you need to even bring up this type of garbage. From a military perspective wouldn't it be smarter to not even mention the existence of that Russian sub. You are desperately trying to flex your muscles in hope someone will listen to your pleas. How many Americans are visiting Russian forums telling you the position and armament of American subs? You know why they don't??? Because they don't have to.

    This.

The US government is not afraid of Russia, they are annoyed by it. This is what keeps Putin and his followers up at night. Some of them decide to troll on message boards to rationalize the insomnia.

Oh I think a lot has changed, like the nuclear powerhouse nations of the world doing everything they can to either stave off MAD with current technologies and geopolitical movements, or to not care about MAD so long as they control the resources in the end from their bunkers or orbiting command centers. Once that is solved, the morning sky turns red and the rain will pour. I think once they figure it out, a successful first strike will be a necessity in the operation.

Another interesting question is what happens when the Iranian Mohammad worshippers get nukes? And they try to bomb Israel who everybody knows already has nukes.

The Ohio-class carries 24 Trident II's, with 288 total 450 kiloton warheads. Ours is still bigger.

You really don't understand Iran. I guess you never will.

Even to Ayatollah Khomeini, never-mind the average Iranian Muslim, the prophet Mohammad wasn't even the top role model for Muslims. Neither the birth of prophet Mohammad is celebrated nor his death mourned much, both marked one-day low-key holidays without any fanfare, The biggest holiday in Iran remains the pre- Islamic (from Zoroastrian days) new year festival, Norouz, which runs for a couple of weeks, starting with Chahar-shanbe Suri on the last Tuesday before the March equinox until sizda badar on the 13th day of spring. The biggest religious holiday in Iran, on the other hand, is the Shia holiday, Ashura, marking for the Persians and for the Shia faithful the day when the forces of good and justice fell to the usurping forces of evil, with the flag bearer for the forces of good being Imam Hussein (the son of revered Imam Ali) even given imaginary Persian lineage in Persian mythology and folklore. (Ironically, the site of the Battle of Karbala in modern-day Iraq, were the forces of Imam Hussein fell to the forces of the Arab caliphate, not far from the place where the forces of the Persian emperor, Yazdgerd III, led by the biggest hero in Persian mythology, a Persian general named Rustam -- and made immortal by Iran's national epic, Ferdowsi's 9th century master-piece the Shahnameh (Book of Kings) -- had been defeated by the forces of the Arabs armies in the Battle of Qadisiyyah).

When General Soleimani was assassinated, and mourned by millions of people, in the ceremonies mourning him, he was mourned as the Rustam of our era. Or, as this song say, "the Rustam of our tales".

Of course the Russians calculated the consequences. Therefore, they prefer to act, but not to talk.

Do Americans often visit foreign forums? For example Russian, Japanese, Chinese or Italian. Maybe they visit African forums?
Those Americans who attend foreign political forums don't praise their submarines, missiles, or tanks, they scold them. But it should be noted that basically they scold the American government.
Sometimes (very rarely) there are those who, as you put it, try to troll, but they do not succeed. Perhaps because Russian, Chinese ... etc. turns of speech are different from English and it is difficult for them to navigate. But firstly, they are rare, and secondly, they quickly leave the forum.
Now on the topic of the post. Is there something wrong with it? Does it contain lies? Or may the characteristics of the submarine be indicated incorrectly?
If something is not true, point it out. Otherwise, your comment looks ridiculous.

You understand the meaning of the post? It's not that the Russian submarine can be bigger or smaller. In the EU, a full American missile and many NATO submarines off the Russian coast.
The fact is that a Russian submarine with the possibility of attacking 160 American cities into dust in an instant is near the coast of the United States. This suggests that it seems that politicians should understand that today there is no war on foreign territory. Today, the United States has fully experienced what war is. This will not be a media report from the fronts, this will be real destruction and death.
And the fact that someone's submarine is larger, someone's submarine is smaller ..... does not matter. The Russians, for example, have a tsar bomb, so what? Will it save them from lower power arc missiles? In the same way, the United States needs to be prepared.

I can't find it anywhere but does anyone remember that photo of the Washington Monument supposedly taken from a Russian missile carrier sub in the Potomac? Undoubtedly a fake, I mean how would you even know it was taken from a sub anyway? but it was sure entertaining.

    You should never be afraid.
Everything that is predetermined will happen.
You just think - if you can change something, you should not be afraid of it, and if you cannot change something, then in this case there is no point in being afraid either.
As Putin said - "We will go to heaven, and our enemies will simply die."

Yeah, we grasped the concept when Stalin was alive. Do you? You seem to be having a real hard time with it. Or do Russians just suck at poker?
