    Unrelated, but I saw that the Patriots took a solid kick to the balls last night... Hard to wipe the smile off my face now...

    In his shoes I would probably refuse to play in Australia forever and win other major tournaments to keep everyone from winning a grand slam. But I am not in his shoes and probably don't understand him. We should fight authoritarianism wherever is raises its ugly head.

    He's facing a possible 3 year visa ban so it might not be up to him.

    Authoritarianism like keeping out unvaccinated refugees at the Southern border?
    Get your story straight, you're embarrassing yourselves.

    Yes, I'm sure messing up your career standing for spite due to your own stupidity is the way to go here...

    He'd be much better off issuing an APOLOGY (look it up) to his fans in Australia NOW and promise to do whatever it takes to play in front of them next year. Doing that could certainly mitigate the damage he caused here and allow many to welcome him back next year..

    It's the difference between paper law and trial law..

    Especially considering...
    1) He had a chance at a Men's Record-Breaking 21st Slam
    2) Had he played (without drama) he would have been a Massive Favorite
    3) He could have steamrolled and added another $3 Million+ to the coffers...

    He gambled and lost in this case,he KNEW they had a mandatory vaccine policy in place but he thought they should grant him an exception. You either have policy or you don't, the AUSSIES proved they do.

    Tennis star Novak Djokovic to be deported from Australia after court upholds decision to cancel visa over Covid vaccination status

    Tennis star Novak Djokovic will not compete at the Australian Open tournament this week after a court ruled he should be deported from the country. The ruling ends a saga that has embroiled Djokovic, who is unvaccinated, in a legal and diplomatic row and fueled the debate on Covid vaccination mandates.

    There is a public health principle involved here............so this is the best outcome for the situation. Sad that it had to get this much world wide publicity...

    Wonder if he will leanrn anything from this experience.

    He has to decide whether he wants to be an international tennis player or a poster boy for the anti-vax movement.
    Can't be both it seems.

    LOL being vaccinated doesn't mean you're not immune either. Is there any science whatsoever that says you will get less sick by being vaccinated versus having covid previously? Is there any science that says your less likely to get due to these vaccinations versus already having covid? If there is I would like to see it?

    His lack of a vaccine presents ZERO danger to anyone else. He has just as much natural
    protection, due to his recent infection and probably moreso due to his rather impeccable health compared to 99.9% of others. Zero scientific reason he is endangering anyone besides AU being a Nazi state.

    Well, he’s already proven to be a liar and a cheat who doesn’t care if he infects others and lies on visa applications.

    Look, he had two choices;
    (A) provide proof of vaccination;
    (B) Comply with the mandatory self quarantine period before traveling;

    He doesn't like or think he needs to do (A)? Fine, no problem (B) is easily doable for someone with his resources. His problem however is that he chose to do neither, presumably because as far as he was concerned the 'rules' don't apply to him. Hell he didn't even bother hiding the fact he wasn't complaint based on the video evidence!

    And as for Nazi bit? Australia ranks higher of the global freedom index than the US does (fun fact). So 'seig heil' right back at ya! (And keep practicing that goose stepping.)

    You understand that global freedom index is a joke right? How many points do you lose for locking people in their homes or Covid camps? That should knock you off the list completely. It’s like China being on any list celebrating human rights, hehe.

    And I understand he didn't do exactly as AU asked. He could have just rolled over, but didn’t want to submit. It’s their country and you have to jump through their insane hoops even if it’s non scientific. I was mostly remarking that according to science he is NOT a danger to anyone over the next few weeks of the tournament. Absolutely none. But they can do what they want. Their rules.

    I would prefer if you said US Trumpers and retire the 'conservatives'. Trumpers are not true conservatives or we would not be where we are today.

    Well the 'list' does seem to have more fact based metrics behind it than your any of posts on this thread so far. As per 'insane hoops even if it’s non scientific' for example. Since when are quarantine restrictions non-scientific? Science long ago overwhelmingly proved the value of quarantine as a disease control method which is why the US (along with everyone else) still use it.

    So I repeat - 2 weeks at home training in private and he'd still be here. Perhaps it 'wasn't necessary in his specific case but everyone wanting to enter the country is a 'specific case' and its simply impossible to go through the minutiae of each individuals personal medical circumstances one by one. That's what quarantine is for - dealing with large populations.

    Well done Australia by not letting this super star covidiot int the country

    Now that the truth about his status and his possible fake covid test is out, he will face a lot of countries which will not let him in. Even in Europe he will now face severe restrictions.
    What a arrogant dumb ars

    It might be important to know the difference between "authoritarianism" and PUBLIC HEALTH RULES............. during a pandemic.

    Australia a has worked hard to get the paramedic under control..........so why let in an outsider that is an antivaxer ........and did not complete his papers correctly.

    Every society has rules.......... and that does not mean it is "authoritarian". Rules apply to everyone.........regardless f status , wealth, notoriety etc.
