This is true. It’s also not on any major news or even local news as far as I can find. Sometimes these blogs pick up on stories quicker because they do little vetting. This story is not hard to find though so I’m sure a major news outlet is bound to pick it up sooner or later.

Oh, we'll definitely see it more broadly soon. I have no doubt about that. After watching the video a couple of times, if I were to put money on this, I'd say partially true. As in maybe the kid really did meow and really did "identify" as a cat, but she was fired for more than just refusing to acknowledge it. Then again, back when I was subbing, they'd let you go for pretty much anything.

You’re previous post said “lie or not”. Seems like you yourself know there is a possibility that this is BS. I get that you’re looking for a cudgel to bash the left here, but this one is looking like a wet noodle.

Nice anecdote. I’m sure everyone will lend your story the trust and weight that it deserves.

    You seem mad
I would be mad too if the policies I supported ended in teachers getting canned for not making animal sounds
That’s right l! Be mad! I would be too if I voted for this crap

No one voted for this, and you've admitted yourself that you don't actually care if the story is true.

They probably have to in order to keep up with the fake stories from the left.

sounds to me like she was showing respect for his identity
How many cats do you know that use a regular toilet?
    Can’t have it both ways!
We either go all the way with this identity thing or not at all

Not really. Both sides have their fake stories, but the fringe right has made a much bigger industry out of it.

Let's assume the litter box comment was made in polite inquiry.
Barking at him was intentionally insulting and rude, done from the bully pulpit of the authority figure she is employed as. That's a firing offense. Full stop. Thanks for playing.

You mean like CRT isn't taught in schools? Or blacks are prevented from voting? That sort of thing?

For the most part, no, CRT isn't taught in schools, outside of a few college classrooms. Instead, the fringe right freaks out and pulls out their hair any time race is mentioned in a history class and start screeching about CRT.

    you still lose
Dogs are needed to scare off cats sometimes
If he can identify as a cat then she can identify as a dog
    Thanks for playing
Please continue though. I am loving sitting here watching you make a mockery out of silly liberal concepts

Not mad at all. Random people lying on YouTube doesn’t affect me like that. I’d say it’s more funny that yet again righties take a story they can’t verify and run with it.

Asking me to prove it isn’t true would be proving a negative. Are you asking me to prove a negative?
Proving it true would be proving an affirmative claim. That’s much more doable. Any local news station or even Fox News would pick it up in a heartbeat if there was any truth here.

Except she does not identify as anything but a straight human female, in fact she expresses mockery of the very idea (and well she should, in private not from her position as a public school teacher) of same from her own mouth unprompted. Which makes strong evidence against such an assertion. Not that you were being serious.

Barking like a dog at a person who claims they're a cat, when you denigrate such 'identities' loudly and vociferously from a position of authority, is a firing offense. A teacher's job description does not include mocking her students.

I don’t think you believe that. Let’s assume the kid was a trump supporter and she mocked him for that? Is that a fireable offense? Let’s assume the kid said something like he thought the Nazi’s were great and she mocked him for that. Is that a fireable offense? Let’s assume he was arguing that the earth was flat and she mocked him for that. Is that a fireable offense? Let’s assume he was arguing human caused climate change is just a scam and she mocked him for that. Is that a fireable offense?

Is that the only copy/paste response you guys have now? Sorry, but your complaint died the day the Trump Tower meeting was made public, if not earlier.

I don’t really like the idea of people being fired if it can be supported. I think the teacher would be obligated to provide some push back based on factual information (maybe not on being a Trump supporter).
Depending on numerous variables I would say mockery of a student, regardless of the reason, could warrant administrative action. It’s not the job of teachers to bully their students.

She was told that he needed acknowledgement in the form of a meow. I don't think the teacher was obligated to do that, but she certainly didn't need to make fun of him or belittle him.
