Gaslighting. Trump tried to steal the 2020 election.

Didn't you notice Trump dragged down the Republican Party in 2020? You need to get rid of that guy.

All @Libhater needs to do is denounce bigotry. Woke types can't deal with that.

All absolutists, totalitarianists, and despots are concerned with their own rights. When the attorney general sends the FBI after parents who express their opinion and displeasure at school board meetings those citizens are clearly not getting equal protection under the law. That other lies are being told in no way excuses the lies of wokism.

I've already stepped aside from politics and political action and they're all older than I am. Younger folks should be deciding their future.

I taught high school for more than three decades. CRT is not being taught in K-12.

There's plenty wrong with government-run schools, but most of you critics have no idea what it is. The CRT flap is ginned up nonsense, nothing more than a wedge issue.
You can't bootstrap nonsense into being true. CRT isn't something you can even discuss in depth with most senior high school students.

Woke and cancel culture exists on both sides. To take issue with one and not the other is human nature. We tend to have huge blind spots when it come to our favored groups and individuals. I certainly will agree with the overt bias and hypocrisy of the left. Yet I do the same with the right. Bias is the enemy, and it is plentiful on both sides and the center.

Yes they are and have been for the last decade. There is hope however as ge Eric Republicans are now up five points over lying Dems and their administrative state and media allies.

So, you are arguing about something that you believe does not exist, that’s what I’m gathering from this conversation.
I’m a parent and want my kids to have a normal childhood that is not clouted by tribalism and racist BS. That goal is shared among other parents, regardless of race. CRT is a concern for parents and when your side rejects the existence of this problem, we vote for those who listen. As Bill Maher said once - parents vote. I don’t have a problem with anti-CRT legislation - even if it’s not present, it’s good to ban it.

There are no work among conservatives. They have their own extremes, but at this point the ones from the left are more abundant.

    Very nice of you.
This whole current, extreme, political environment is the cause of work of people who have virtually no stakes in our long-term well being - Trump, Pelosi, Biden, and Sanders. They pander to radicals and will not live to witness the fallout.

I would not tell white students they should be ashamed of being white (the original anti-CRT lie) or present arguments advanced by CRT advocates to K-12 students. CRT is not part of the curriculum, anyway. Is there a history of systemic racism? Sure. Deeds had restrictions against selling to blacks.
The only defense for high school students against tribal nonsense is include examples of tribalism employed by both sides. "Race" is more complicated, but it can be approached with the end result of race not dividing students. One thing for whites--blacks won't be comfortable around whites until whites understand blacks still suffer from discrimination. Blacks? Other people of color? Whites won't be comfortable around you until you recognize there are racist people of color, too.
My side? You must think I'm a liberal.
Not the way the law is written in Oklahoma and Texas.

If a thing is wrong for one to do it is wrong for the other to do as well. Claiming the other does a negative more does nothing to remedy the problem of either. Too much finger pointing amongst the partisans and little to no admitting of failures on either side. It’s just easier to blame the other. Republicans and Democrats are not the problem. Human tribalistic nature is to blame and it exists within us all.

You should say CRT is not being taught in many (probably most) K-12 schools, but it is fostered and taught in some schools. It is fostered by the National Association of School Boards and the NEA, for instance.

No I don't. There aren't any real Marxists in contemporary First World society ... but there are millions of real Race Agitators.

You'd probably be better off with Commies, to be fair. At least in theory .. unfortunately any kind of State collectivism ends up an abomination in short order.

While I agree ... it's important to look at WHY.

I don't think it's anything like 'evil for evil's sake'. No doubt a considerable proportion of them actually think what they're doing in 'tearing down pillars of society' is a kindness. An attempt to remove all potential sources of obligation and/or criticism. These well meaning folk are neatly exploited by those who need their dirty work done at the coal face.

Do they? That's an incredibly First World West-centric notion, with respect.

Plenty of intelligent people learn only what they need to survive - and have no interest, nor see any utility, in adding anything else.

The idea is everything is the same as the civil rights era. So they want to be in the "right side of history".

That was the right side of history in the 1960's.

These overgrown teenagers are basically the Starchy Disapprovers of the 21stC. They remind me of remote elderly aunts who tsk tsk'd everything, and had no concept that times had changed.
