It's so weird. When I was a kid, my parents and sisters got jobs, so we could make ends meet. By age 9, I was selling Newspaper subscriptions and had a paper route from 12 - 16. During Christmas time, I would climb trees gather mistletoe and put it in baggies and go door to door. I would clear a few hundred at least on mistletoe every year. Now the government just gives out money?

You seem very happy paying in lots of taxes but then want to get some back so I ask again.

Why do you want to pay taxes just to get them back whether it be monthly or annually which had nothing to do with the topic or what I asked?

Police, fire and schools are not FEDERAL and I only expect federal emergency management during disasters I don't expect them to rebuild my house our pay me money to live on especially when it is no longer an emergency.

You try to validate it and rationalize it however you seem fit. They are not the same thing.

General answer to a general question.
A better question would be what do you support on the democrat agenda. Then maybe we can answer. Otherwise its like trying to guess what number you are thinking of.

Right now at this very moment, republicans seem to be against lower taxes for Americans.

The question was VERY specific, I am begging for specifics with it.

    Try again

    You said

Can you give me an example of something he did that Republicans only hate because he's Biden, that otherwise they would support? And Republicans have led the way for tax cuts for working people, they are the primary reason the bottom 50% of income earners pay virtually no federal income taxes and in fact the bottom 25% MAKE money off the tax system.

Deflection and strawman fallacy. The subject is a specific Biden handout. It you want to talk about Amazon tax credits or some other subject start an appropriate thread. You may find some of us are consistently opposed to free stuff regardless of political party preference.

Jimmy Carter achieved double digit mortgage loans. If Biden did the same who would be surprised?

Somebody brought it up so I inquired. But fair enough, its not the topic. But strawman fallacy? No. I asked a question. I didn't mean to imply any particular answer to it.

Still have not heard an answer to my question.
Once again, the answer to your question is effective tax cuts. Right now, in this very thread.
Our tax cuts work, and you guys hate that.

Yes, poor people create employment by buying products or using services and could create more employment if all working Americans made a living wage: MAKING AMERICA A FIRST-WORLD COUNTRY.

Only if there is demand for the products, something that supply-siders from Comrade Karl Marx to Comrade Donnie Trump failed to understand.

Same with Reagan but - wasn't either's fault -- and it won't be all Joe's fault either - but he sure is trying hard. Stellar deficits - in a rising interest rate environment is a really bad combination .. specially in light of the sheer magnitude of the overall debt.

better keep the poor fed .. cause the the waves are going to get rough should this continue.

Democrats know that the only way they can win elections is to shovel out welfare to the growing masses of people who don't, won't, or can't support themselves. Unless this changes, it means the DEATH of the United States.

Where we fugged-up was when we decided that people could get UNEARNED welfare, 'subsidies', and other handouts from the government AND be allowed to continue voting in all elections!

Thank you for this 'poison pill', Franklin Delano Roosevelt! You and the Democrat Party infected the country with this cancer way back in the 1930's, and since then it has only gotten far, far worse. Now, within another generation, it will surely kill us!

I know they were 14% when I bought my home. I can well imagine it cost me over $15,000 or more over the lifetime even with the refi's later.

A little research reveals that the Child Tax Credit (CTC) began in 1997. At the time it was $500 per child and nonrefundable for families with three or fewer children.

The Bush tax cuts of 2001 expanded the CTC to $1000 per child and made it refundable for all family sizes.

The Trump tax cuts of 2017 expanded the CTC to $2000 per child and made up to $1400 of it refundable.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 expanded the CTC to $3000, but only for the 2021 tax year. The BBB act would extend that for one year if it passed.

Some countries provide a monthly child allowance to families each month instead of a tax credit once a year, and I believe that's what Biden is proposing.
