You might get a condo on Boca grande for 2 million. Hell they charge you 6 bucks just to go over the toll bridge.

A nice place to visit and go fishing but sure as hell above my pay grade.

And Las Olas in my pics above is also above my pay grade. There are condo's there too, and the condo maintenance (HOA) alone is about $1000 or more, so even if you buy cash, you still pay about $2000 per month (tax+insurance+maint) for a place you own, Crazy.

There isn't anything to believe. Its posted data from hundreds of resources for apartments in any state you want to live in.
You are the one trying to promote Florida as some over the top expensive place to live with unreasonable apartment rates that most middle income can't afford.

Yet you can't over come why its the second most desired place to live in the US right now. You thought it was climate until you found out about the mass exodus of California so that got shot down pretty fast.

There is nothing out of the ordinary about middle class living in Florida. NOTHING. You just made it up

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a common, chronic, and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (obsessions) and/or behaviors (compulsions) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over.

No, I think people who come into threads that have nothing to do with Trump, but can't overcome their OCD to post about Trump, needs reminding they are doing nothing but confirming their own problem.

Oh hell no not even if I could afford it.

If I ever came into some money I'd buy me a lot of land somewhere rural and put my house in the most remote part of it and keep it private.

Streak around buck naked and shoot guns if you want now that's what I call real living!!!

Without the education to understand what OCD is, many sufferers spend years not knowing that they have OCD. It is common for people with OCD to believe that there’s nothing wrong with them or that if they just try hard enough, they’ll stop ruminating. In reality, you can’t “just stop.” OCD lies to you and tells you that this next reassurance will be the one that sticks, the one that finally makes you feel better.

I am not promoting anything except facts. The middle class in Florida is being squeezed out.

This is a common topic in Florida, so its weird you never heard of it. Florida middle class income begins at $26K, which is peanuts in a place like Miami where lot of them live and work. Average rent there is $2300, so how do they afford it? The only choice they have is to rent in a dangerous neighborhoods. And its not just those in the lower end of the mid-class income, but even those in upper end ($116K), because even they have a hard time finding affordable housing when out-of-staters (who you admire) snap up everything they find.

As Marco Rubio, because he talks about a lot.

And its not just the more expensive SE Florida.

Almost half of Central Florida households struggle to cover basic needs, report says
    https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs...lds-struggle-to-cover-basic-needs-report-says
Almost half of Central Florida households struggle to cover their basic needs, according to a new report released this week by the United Way.

Despite Florida's GDP valued at $1 trillion and an improving economy, 47 percent of households in Orange County, about 220,203, struggled to afford child care, housing, food, health care and transportation costs in 2016. In Osceola County, 57 percent of families, an estimated 55,614 households, earned less than the basic cost of living.

LOL. Actually at one point I thought about buying land around Lake Placid, FL and build a cabin & rifle range there + exotic palm (lipstick palm, - sells for $100 a pop for a small one) plantation. Maybe I'll still do that one day. Who knows.

And update on our future First Lady:

DeSantis says he feels 2022 may be the year he can say the first lady is cancer free
"The governor said he felt 2022 would be the year he could say his wife was cancer free."

    Hope so brother.

First off, your report is from 2007-2015 which would have NOTHING to do with DeSantis. And Your report is about Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. ALICE households. Not the general population of Florida. And you are pushing this as a current economy of Florida?
    Not I get it.

I was born and raised in Osceola county (St Cloud) and was there a year ago. I haven't seen ANYTHING that would lead me to those conclusions. About 8 of my classmates from 1978 graduation from St Cloud still live there and they don't know anything about what this article claims.

UCF economist Dr. Sean Snaith has accurately projected the trends in Florida through the pandemic. He’s one of Florida’s leading and best-known economists and the only thing he is stating is the shortage of available homes along the I-4 corridor, and supply shortages.

In Florida’s job market, Snaith projects they will fully recover the number of jobs they had before the pandemic. But he said it will take most of 2022 to get there.

There is nothing out there claiming Florida has half its population living below the basic cost of living.

the silver lining in this, if there is one about her getting cancer is now he plans to invest in cancer research, sometimes when cancer hits home with politicians, they take it more serious, seems to be the case here - this is good news for everyone - as a cancer survivor myself, more research is definitely needed as chemo sucks - I hope someday people never have to go through that

    Nope, all from this thread.
The pretending ain't workin for ya. Maybe a more adult approach might be prudent.
Or is that a bridge too far?

I was talking about the quotes.
But when you use imaginary claims, it doesn't matter where it is.
They are still imaginary which is what you depend on.

Yes, people moving here has nothing to do with him. Its not a new thing, and neither it the middle-class squeeze in Florida, which is only getting worse.

I can see that. You have no idea what is happening in the State you live in, and to make matters worse you think that if you personally don't see something, then it never happened.
