    Wait!!! Tucker said we should be on Russia's side!! Is the White House not listening to Fox anymore??!! Inflation isn't THAT high. Murder at the highest in two decades!!!! It's still extremly low. A pandemic is RAGING!!. Are you vaccinated. Are you urging all you know to get vaccinated? Supply Chain issues......see pandemic RAGING!! Things are trying to get done but a little co operation is needed.

    BTW, I'm fully aware of the contradiction in the OP regarding SCOTUS and "appeals" but I just rambled off something, anything so that the whole thread wouldn't be deleted for not containing "a member's opinions or questions with sufficient elaboration to establish a foundation for respectful discussion and debate" as has happened before. So now the right can gripe all they want about "such ignorance of how the judiciary works" or whatever.

    If he didn't have executive privilege, why would you need the SCOTUS to make that determination to release documents covered by executive privilege.

    So you are one of those who think Trump sits in some basement doing thousands of pages of tax returns huh.
    You're too funny dude.
    So I'll shed a bit of light on it for you so your feelings don't get hurt in the upcoming events.
    1. Trump doesn't do his tax returns
    2. The Trump Org is represented by some of the best tax lawyers on the planet
    3. Those tax lawyers are responsible for perpetrating any fraud in filing his taxes
    4. Even the IRS hasn't claimed or even sanctioned Trumps law firm or Trump for any tax problems
    5. No tax law firm of that size will commit tax fraud for any single client as they most likely earn 10s of millions annually in tax clients they represent
    6. No NY DA is packing the gear to go up against ANY large NY tax lawyer firm. They wouldn't even know where to start
    7. No NY DA is able to prosecute Trump on federal tax fraud

    No, that was not their determination. Executive privilege can be invaded for specific information for judicial purposes which is why it went to the SCOTUS.
    Which is why they were given permission to extract 700 documents and not Trumps entire history provided to the archives.
    I bet you were one of those who thought Biden could override Trumps executive privilege. Weren't you.

    this is not a "we got him this time moment"

    trump does not have the whitehouse to protect him as he did for more than 4 years

    had trump still been in office the SC would have defended him and condoned his request

    but without the whitehouse as protection, trump will most likely be indicted

    the worst that can happen to trump is he will not be allowed to run for president

    and the best that can happen to this country is he will not be allowed to run for president

    he has too much money to go to jail

    but Karma is a bitch...nobody is invincible

    As they should have. Up front. Biden was claiming he wasn't recognizing Trumps executive privilege and it got him nowhere. Which means he was trying to claim they could go into the archives and get anything and everything they wanted. But thats not how it works

    The SCOTUS made the right decision allowing the committee to take possession of 700 documents that would have some judicial right to be explored as long as it does not invade any classified information that would be detrimental to disclose. And that is what the SCOTUS decides.
    They made the right decision and I stand behind their right to investigate.
