    A Covid Origin Conspiracy?
    Nicholas Wade, City-Journal

From almost the moment the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in the city of Wuhan, the medical-research establishment in Washington and London insisted that the virus had emerged naturally. Only conspiracy theorists, they said, would give credence to the idea that the virus had escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Now a string of unearthed emails—the most recent being a batch viewed by the House Oversight and Reform Committee and referred to in its January 11, 2022 letter—is making it seem increasingly likely that there was, in fact, a conspiracy, its aim being to suppress the notion that the virus had emerged from research funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), headed by Anthony Fauci. The latest emails don’t prove such a conspiracy, but they make it more plausible, for two reasons: because the expert virologists therein present such a strong case for thinking that the virus had lab-made features and because of the wholly political reaction to this bombshell on the part of Francis Collins, then-director of the National Institutes of Health. . . .

I don't believe that for an instant. The purpose of this thread is to encourage the mask and vaxx nazis in a country you don't even live in, where we have both traditionally and Constitutionally had more freedom than you guys have, to continue trying to spread those anti-freedom policies. We do things differently here, and it's none of your damned business in the first place.

Quote; We have both traditionally and constitutionally had more freedom than you guys have

    What type of Freedom?

    For example;

    2021 Index Of Economic Freedom

    Country Rankings

    3. Australia

    20. United States

    ————

What about Canada’s freedom to vote by mail, and no reason required?

Please start a thread on freedom, suggested title.....

The U.S. is the freest country in the world

......and then, I will ridicule you.

That's why all those people are crossing the American border, to get to Canada and freedom.

Here’s another thing I didn’t know about Canada

    State’s Freedom of Legislation

Canada is the only country in the world where its states were given the constitutional powers to override Supreme Court decisions.

AND that explains why Quebec is the only state in North America where hijabs and niqabs have been banned.

THUS, when it comes to freedom to think, speak, act, and expression, every country have their “pros and cons”

    A useful retrospective:
    The Lab Leak 'Conspiracy Theory'

    Taibbi & Orfalea, Substack

". . . We still don’t know what caused the pandemic, but that’s not the issue here. The concept of telling the public you’re this certain of something when you quite obviously are not is at least somewhat new, both in politics and in media. The crucial problem shown in this reel is the complete absence of humility about the possibility of error. The most well-meaning scientists make mistakes — even the famous tale of the discovery of HIV’s “Patient Zero” later fell into question thanks to genetic analysis — and there was a time not long ago when no responsible press outlet would have declared any hypothesis off-limits before the mystery had been solved.

Orfalea does a great job here using everything from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure to Fahrenheit 451 to show the dangerously moronic certainty of modern propaganda. The origins of Covid-19 remain a mystery, but another Whodunit is why curiosity and the spirit of free inquiry have been made taboo in a business where those qualities were once prerequisites."

Learn first. Then post. Substack is the platform of choice for many of our best known and most decorated writers.

Lol. Those blog writers have to pay Substack for allowing their blogs on their website and they can write whatever they want, made up or facts.

LOL It's a money making scheme that anyone can use:

    For writers:
Publishing is free on Substack– no matter how many subscribers you have!
If you add paid subscriptions, we charge 10% and there is a credit card fee charged by Stripe, our payments processor.

    For readers:
Subscription plans, such as monthly and annual, are set by writers. Substack won't charge you any additional fees and we accept most major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Yes, and . . . ? As I said, some of the most respected names in journalism and other fields are on SubStack, including the authors of the article under discussion here. SubStack provides a forum impenetrable by cancel culture.

I take no position on COVID research other than to note that I've had two Pfizer vaccinations and a booster. That said, I think it's always the right thing to defend free inquiry and the exploration of the unorthodox.

Looks like the Chinese Vaccine produces better long term immunity. Isn't it a traditional vaccine?

You know - it is worthwhile reading ALL THE WAY THROUGH the link - especially a Wiki entry

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substack

In other words NOT validated peer review research

No one ever claimed it was. Substack is a free speech safe harbor, not a science journal.
Then again, we all know you are averse to peer-reviewed science as well.

You should know by now that unless you can present validated peer reviewed papers and preferentially a systematic review of literature I am not interested and am more than likely to consider it twaddle. Not only will I consider it twaddle but, if I have the time and inclination I will demonstrate that it up is. Not for you, but to teach others reading these posts
