It matters because you claimed 150k in 2019, and now you're trying to move the goalposts to 2020.

Putin attacked Ukraine in 2014 when Obama was President then attacked when Biden was President. Kinda interesting how he did nothing when President Trump was in office.

To the idea that the cold war was pointless and ruined human lives and set us on this course today. You can ignore the rest as you choose.

I mean it wasn’t so much about the Cold War, and more about creating tomorrows enemies today. But yeah you’re basically on point.

One other similarity is Trump treated Putin fairly and decisively while BO and Biden didn't.

I agree with most of this, Biden could've done some things different but there is a time for Monday morning qb'ing and not the time. In my mind it's time for the West to cut the head off the snake. Putin is wounded badly; we kill his oil exportation and he's done forever. The west both right and left need to support doing whatever it takes to end all his funding and that's oil. It is apparent even the lefty countries of Europe are ready to make this step, are we?

The inability to assess your own position in the light of realistic, relevant facts leaves you trapped. You learn nothing, even when it's too late- just continue claiming the same old story.
Nothing I can do for you. You may eventually come to terms with things; I hope you do.

Oh wow, this is sad. I've always liked and respected your intelligence, Spiritgide. I would have loved to continue to read you. But I made the irrevocable decision to move to the Ignore list ANYBODY who believes in the big lie that the election was stolen from Trump. ANYBODY. Even posters I like and otherwise respect.

For your information, rally sizes are not votes. What happened is very easy to understand. The Trump crowd was the same one denying Covid-19 as a danger. They went to his superspreader events. The Biden voters (that includes me) stayed home, didn't attend any rallies (I didn't) and voted by mail (I did). So we were never counted for the sake of crowd size in rallies... but our votes surely did count (fortunately, despite the sore loser's multiple efforts to subvert his loss). Regardless of Trump's enthusiastic rallies full of stupidly unmasked people (some paid with their own lives like Herman Cain), we Biden voters were 80-million strong, fed up with the corrupt cry-baby loser in the Oval Officer.

Another loser whom I despise, Bernie Sanders, had huge rallies in both campaigns. Did he win?

Are you under the impression that our elections are done via rally acclamation???

So, yes, Biden won fair and square. It doesn't mean that I think he is doing a good administration; you know from other posts of mine that I don't. But I abhor the Big Lie given that it undermines our democratic republic.

Prominent members of Trump's own administration like his own AG confirmed multiple times that there was no fraud in the election. 80+ Courts (including the predominantly conservative SCOTUS) had the same conclusion. Knowing that they couldn't lie in court without sanctions like they lied to the public, lawyers for Trump's side acknowledged multiple times in court that there was no fraud when pressured by judges to say yes or no, while they were saying that there was fraud, in press conferences to the public.

And here, a poster I respect still buys the Big Lie. So sad.

Good bye, my friend. It is with genuine regret that I will have to follow my own inexorable rule, to remain consistent. You crossed the one line I have set for my own sanity, so you left me with no choice. Have a healthy and long life. I'll miss you.

I have laid out what he could have done months ago, he has been leading from behind for months and the sanctions needed now will hurt the west even more. Worried about gas and oil prices, thank Biden for his war against both. Worried about inflation, thank Biden and his need to show he did something so he passed his huge unneeded spending bill and wants even more.

All you have done in the above is prove Biden should never have been elected and he is in WAY over his head and has been played by Putin from day one, but then there is the matter of the Russian money his family influence peddling syndicate took from Russia and who knows what else they have on him.

The massing came after as I showed you. And Trump issued sanction after sanction and let him know he could not be played and that is why Putin waited until his buddy Biden was elected.

Sure we do if we find it the necessary stick. And we knew MONTHS ago what he was planning. Did you want Putin to instigate a world war?

For those of you still pushing the hilarious narrative that T**** was tougher on Putin/Russia than Biden (and probably Obama), here's one of T****'s own NSA's telling you otherwise

    SNIP
When the host depicted the Trump administration's approach as "pretty tough on Russia, in a lot of ways," Bolton disagreed.

The former Trump national security advisor said the 45th president "did not" handle Russia better than President Joe Biden, as Schmitt asserted, and listed off a series of qualms he had about how Trump dealt with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"But in almost every case, the sanctions were imposed with Trump complaining about it and saying we were being too hard," Bolton said. "The fact is that he barely knew where Ukraine was. He once asked John Kelly, his second chief of staff, if Finland were a part of Russia. It's just not accurate to say that Trump's behavior somehow deterred the Russians."
    ENDSNIP

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/john-bolton-says-trump-barely-180518668.html

He begrudgingly did the BARE MINIMUM required by Congress and National decorum... That's it

Of course, nobody is ever as tough on anybody as Bolton wants to be, but he's still in a solid position to compare administrations..

See post #794 to learn how T**** really felt about "sanction after sanction"....

"It's just not accurate".... sums up most RW posts on this topic...

CF- you need to consider WHO is believing in the "Big Lie".

I'm under the impression that elections are done by HONEST VOTES- HONESTLY COUNTED.
Most people who have been around and involved long enough know that scams are not the exception, they are the norm, and if you fail to recognize the red flags, you are just the kind of person they depend on.

IF you aren't able to consider views you don't agree with from someone you say you respect- you are welcome to ignore them.
I don't have a problem with that, but you should have.
    Nobody votes for corruption

Everybody who selects either (R) or (D) is voting for corruption. They admit they are voting for the lessor of two evils.

    It's silly to suggest otherwise.

Just because Putin Loves Trump and Trump loves Putin doesn't mean we should vote for him.

America had enough of trump, and kicked him out of office, a one term loser.

    And those are the facts.

    Deal with it.

    True- but not.
Yes, corruption occurs of both sides. So does integrity- just rarely and when self-serving. It occurs with all political identities, and many private ones, because it is characteristic of people, of human condition.
Politics in particular probably offers more incentive for corruption than any private sector or field. We need to change that.

However, corruption is not what people vote for. They vote for the promises and images politicians create, and hope this time they will get lucky.
History proves that "Throwing the bums out" usually means trading one bum for another. We have not been "lucky" with the current system.
But- No politician ever got votes by saying, Vote for me- I'll sell you out and line my pockets...."

We need a new method that removes such people immediately on transgressions of the rules of integrity.

Of course people vote for corruption. If you vote for someone you know is corrupt, you are, by definition, voting for corruption.

If I marry a man who constantly sleeps with hookers, am I not marrying a man who constantly sleeps with hookers? "But, I mean, he's really really really nice and buys me flowers." LOL

Here's an idea - STOP voting for CRIMINALS and we'll have less criminals in office.
