Not really. The First World is in the unique position of having been safe and well fed for many decades. The sheer shock of hunger will be enough to elicit a wildly chaotic (and thus dangerous) response. Those who have intimate knowledge of deprivation have a more pragmatic response - what we would call 'mercenary'. Soft Westerners, whose idea of deprivation is finding KFC is out of drumsticks, will lose their minds.

 

It's how I often think of them. Pale, foppish, and living a life carefully currated to exclude anyone tough and/or brown.

not really, a much weaken russia is not in china interest. china trade more with US/EU, so it prefer stay in the middle. stability in the region is crucial for their belt & road.
