Those of us who love Trump take him seriously but not literally. Those who hate Trump tend to take him literally, but not seriously.

I think his "plan" is hilarious.

See, Russia doesn't want governments like Ukraine's which hate Russia to acquire NATO missiles to point at Russia. Dopey neo-cons in the US also want to control Russia (but, it seems, not China).

Hey, I take Trump seriously and also am a lover of Trump. Trump sees Russia, China and the current government of Ukraine as major threats to the US.

Trump has seen first-hand what happens to someone in the US (even the president) who dares to mess with the cash cow and instrument of the politically elite in America known as the current Ukranian government.

Russian pretense for the war is just a BS lie.
It’s a land grab. To execute it, Putin turned Russians into programmed, mindless, biological, fascist bots that keep repeating “nazi”.
    That’s what it is.

Ukraine doesn’t point missiles at Russia. In fact, it destroyed its own arsenal of biological and chemical weapons. Well, now there are probably regrets.

    (1) For the current fascist Ukranian government to leave the 2 separatist republics who never wanted to be Ukranian alone.
    (2) For the current fascist government of Ukraine which is a client-state of the politically elite in America (said politically elite in America have desires to punish Russia) not to have NATO missiles pointed at Russia.
    (3) Now that the world has frozen most of Russia's assets, Russia will need some capital.

All of which have ICBM. You asked who had missiles pointed at Russia.

All NATO countries have missiles pointed at Russia. Most NATO countries would use those NATO missiles against Russia in a defensive capacity but, IMO, the current government of Ukraine would use NATO missiles in an offensive capacity against Russia.

Ah yes. A great quality for a leader.

I am sure you do find his plan “hilarious” and I think you for highlighting why he — and his band of supporters — are so dangerous for this country.

Well I admire the Ukrainians their courage in fighting back. What else can they do? But I'm still waiting on the sanctions for the annexation of Crimea to start hurting the Russians. When is that supposed to happen?

I don’t know about Crimea, but Russians are losing a lot of jobs right now. Their currency almost halved, which will result in raised prices. They also rely on a lot of foreign components even for domestic production - their domestic car plants are scheduled to shut down in a couple of weeks.
    Good stuff. :)

Do you not agree that sanctions this time has increased many times in magnitude? I would not judge the sanctions imposed on Russia 7 years ago in the same light as the current ones.

Your waiting comment is really more a reflection on your patients than real expectations. When we talked about the Battle of Stirling and the ultimate win by the British, that did not come for nearly 300 years after the victory at Stirling Bridge. Russian troop were in Afghanistan for 10 years. Japan occupied China for 7 years killing more than 10 million. Germans occupied France for more than 4 years. Romans were in Britain for nearly 400 years. They did not call it the 100 year war because it was over in 2 weeks.

Well it's good news if you think Putin is just a regular democratically elected leader, beholden to the will of the people, and he will hear his people's cries and change course.

    I mean...if you believe that.
