Tee-hee?? What kind of response is that??

What Poland has done is pass the hot potato to the US. "You want Ukraine to have planes? Here, you do it!!"

Poland is NOT gonna have a target painted on its back over this.

In a war with Iran, the last thing I would be worried about would be "M1 Abrams tanks, and Leopard, and Challenger 2 and Leclerc.." And unless the Russians completely flipped, they would be next to last country Iran would want to count on as an ally.

I guess if something's not told you by the 'We Lie To You' medias, then how can you believe anything you see?

You never verify anything the lying Russian and "independent" media tell you. You always assume they're telling you the truth.

I guess more Ukrainians dying is good huh? So tell me Durandal, now that Europe's economy is just about destroyed over the sanctions, and the US is getting there slowly and surely, what is behind it and who is gaining from it?

Could it be the ideologue advocates of the One World Government aka the Great Reset? Anyway it won't come about yet. It's going to be hindered by World War III. Pity us!

My concern right now are the people in Mariupol that can't leave because Azov needs them as human shields. Maybe the Russians will let the Nazis go free like they did the terrorists in Syria and ship them to Lviv, that way the civilians could be saved.

Not hardly, but what we have seen over the course of the last two weeks is an overrated Russian military with its laughably bad logistics that haven't improved in 14 years floundering against its vastly outmanned and outgunned opponents in Ukraine. It's little wonder the grim-faced Russian generals I saw on TV a week and a half ago looked like they were about to get dragged in front of a firing squad while the little war criminal they work for felt compelled to rattle his nuclear saber to compensate for his inadequacy.

As the weakness of Western "leaders" encouraged Vlad the Invader to commit his latest act of revanchist aggression in Ukraine, his second-rate military's poor performance and indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas is prompting many Westerners to reconsider their initial unwillingness to confront Russia in that country:

The way things are going and people's attitudes are changing (see poll in #3843 above) Zelenskyy's pleas for a no-fly zone might get answered after all....

    No doubt he will.

Needless to say, the situation on the ground will also have a huge impact on whether or not a no-fly zone happens.

RE: Russia Declares War on Ukraine
    SUBTOPIC: Support for the Ukrainians
    ※→ ManYack, et al,

    (INTRO)

As I am sure you already know, in the spirit of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the Budapest Memorandum (1994) was struck - in which the Ukraine was returned control (to the Russian Federation) of the several thousand nuclear weapons for the guarantee of the Ukraine's security. This agreement was entered into by the US, UK, and Russia (as the defenders of the Ukraine's national security). You can see, right now, what integrity the word of the former superpowers has today.

    Excerpt Posting #3684.png
    (COMMENT)

But as you can see from the actual reaction of the White House as to the reliability and value the word if the US has when the chips are down.

The Russian Federation may very well swamp the Ukraine with conventional forces, but there is no threat of a Nuclear Exchange, because the Ukraine relinquished the control of the nuclear weapons → back to the Russian Federation. And I doubt that the Russian Federation is going to implement an independent special weapons strike package.

Now, you are probably correct when you say that the Russian Federation is extremely serious on this matter. But as I have said before, the US is no longer the leader of the free world and has lost its credibility as a dependable partner in mutual defense.

So, a White House without teeth and any capacity to effectively buttress the Ukrainian defenses, the US is not likely to be seen by the rest of the world as a value-added partner in any mutual defense agreement.

    Most Respectfully,
    R

War will end when Putin realizes it puts his own leadership at risk, top State Department official says

From Jennifer Hansler and Kyle Atwood

Victoria Nuland, the US State Department's undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, said Tuesday she believes the war will end “when Putin realizes that this adventure has put his own leadership standing at risk, with his own military, with his own people, that he is hemorrhaging the lives of the people of Russia, the army of Russia and their future to his own vain ambition.”

Speaking at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, Nuland said at that point, Putin “will have to change course, or the Russian people take matters into their own hands.”

But from the US perspective, the end game is the strategic defeat of President Putin in this adventure,” she said.

Asked what drove Putin to invade now, Nuland said such a question would have to be directed to the Russian leader, but added she believes that “over the years, President Putin's imperial ambition has grown and he is dissatisfied with the last 30 years of Russian history and has longed for some time to be the guy that helps recreate the Soviet Union, the fall of which he said was one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century.”

"I think in the last couple of years he's been particularly obsessed with this and particularly consumed. He has created, as you know, a whole bed of lies about how the US would use Ukraine as a springboard to Russia or that NATO would, and he has frankly made clear in the last couple of days that he doesn't actually think that Ukraine is an independent country from Russia,” she continued.

“And so I think his interior mind is now out there and for everybody to see. So that's what makes me worried that not only do we have to ensure that this Ukraine gambit is a strategic failure for Putin for Ukraine’s sake, but also for all of the other countries in the region, and his appetite has only grown with the eating. So you know, we can't allow this to stand,” Nuland said.

McDonald's, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Starbucks are the latest American corporate titans to join the corporate exodus from Russia in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine.

In a letter to its partners on Tuesday, Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson announced that the coffee giant would suspend all business in Russia. Johnson said the store's licensed partner has agreed to pause operations at its 130 stores there.

And Coca-Cola announced that it is suspending its business in Russia. "Our hearts are with the people who are enduring unconscionable effects from these tragic events in Ukraine," the soft drink giant said in a brief statement.

That's a lot of popular brands and products all quitting today.
