That’s not what Ephesians 6:10-18 is all about. Your caricature more aptly describes the woke bicoastal secular progressive urban elites and the deep state that De Santis warns about and suggests how to confront.

He is only running for re-election because hes far behind Trump in the polls. Then in 2028, he will run for president with two governor terms under his belt. Hes making all these big speeches so hes not completely forgotten in six years.

Six years? He will be governor of Florida and or Vice President for four or all six of those years. If he’s Governor the four years, being out of office for the two years prior to 2028 as he runs for the Presidency is actually an advantage.

Hes leaving his options open in case the president thing doesn't work out. Its very unlikely any one president will beat all the rest and become the nominee. Hes better off running for re-election and quitting the governor thing if he wins, and staying on if he loses. One reason he is making these speeches is while Trump is leading he is unstable and political winds could change. DeSantis has a really good profile but that could all change in an instant so he is best off taking his opportunity while hes popular.

We have no religious test in our Great Nation. DeSantis is free to speak on his religious beliefs in a public setting. Weird how that is a problem for you.

He is free to, but the smart ones of us know the real reason he did it. Politicians only have one reason to talk about God. To get cozy with the Christian voter base. Then talk about manufacturing to check off those rust belt voters, talk about diversity, yada yada yada.

Is it? Is tyranny of the majority always better than tyranny of a dictator?

We know how stupid people can be... even in this forum.

I always find it amusing that your side is the one that thinks it has "Science" on their side.

Maybe what you actually mean is you have the scientific establishment on your side and under your control?

I'll leave the mind reading to you. I left my crystal ball at home today. The Left is right to fear Ron II, he will very likely defeat the Democrat Presidential nominee.

If Biden wins a second term in 2024, then there is a good chance of that. If Trump wins, then 2028 will probably be a 2020 repeat.

So your response is SUPERSTITIOUS nonsense because your IMAGINARY "creator" actually DENIES you the RIGHTS that you receive from the SECULAR government of We the People!

    Priceless!

The DOI is NOT the SECULAR Constitution where the Government of We the People defines your RIGHTS.

Sad that you are UNAWARE of how our RIGHTS actually function in REALITY.

Indeed we can given the CONTENT above because INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS are the ANTIDOTE to the tyranny of the majority but apparently you are UNAWARE of how Rights function.

Sorry dude. Our Constitution stands betwixt our God given rights and tyranny, ensuring individual liberty and equality which comes from God. That is America. Your willful denial of reality does not make it disappear. Dismissing it and relying on the transitory will of people is the path to regret and the door to every evil known to man. And to what end but to the discovery of the worth of that which one discarded....which is the self evident truth that there is one God from whom we all spring, who is the author of our worth and final appeal in truth and the divine rights of man. American freedom is a gift from God which came thru our founding Fathers whom God raised to that purpose. There is no better way to self rule aside from a greater recognition of this fact. Neither is Gods mercy our doing nor our failures his, that we should snatch it in meanness to our bellies like a feral dog. Believe what you will. But God is already in American law, our consciences and hearts.

YOU have REPEATEDLY FAILED to provide any SHRED of EVIDENCE that your imaginary "creator" has "given" any rights WHATSOEVER!

OTOH I have established that your IMAGINARY "creator" effectively DENIES you your SECULAR rights as established by the Government of We the People in our SECULAR Constitution.

Your false umbrage carries NO WEIGHT at all!

    Sad!

It is a matter of time that you will either break over the truth I've rehearsed or be ground to powder by it. That will be your evidence, by your own choice and conduct.

Thank you for proving me 100% ACCURATE about your ongoing FAILURE to substantiate your utterly BOGUS claims about your IMAGINARY "creator" and our SECULAR RIGHTS provided to us in our SECULAR Constitution.

Here is a Pop Quiz for you.

    1. How many times is your IMAGINARY "creator" mentioned in the Constitution?

    2. How many times is SCIENCE mentioned in the Constitution?

    LMFAO!!!

Another Leftist who doesn't know the difference between rights and privileges.

Our inherent, inalienable, individual natural rights are NOT granted to us by any government or a Constitution that merely AFFIRMS the rights we possess by virtue of our humanity.

And here's WHY the Founders & Framers had our inherent, inalienable, individual natural rights affirmed in our Constitution:

To prohibit GOVERNMENT from violating them.

    inherent
    [inˈhirənt, inˈherənt]
    ADJECTIVE
    1. existing in something as a permanent, essential, or characteristic attribute.

It's amusing how the people who are so fond of flattering themselves about how smart they think they are don't grasp this. It's not a new concept, and the men who wrote the Constitution didn't come up with it. Neither did the Enlightenment Era philosophers who influenced them, such as John Locke and Francis Hutcheson, or even the Levelers who preceded them - Lilburn, Walwyn, Overton, et al - who tried to establish a constitutional republic in England during the mid-17th Century. It is an ancient concept, yet here we are, almost eight centuries after William of Ockham developed the first natural rights doctrine, listening to Leftists "explain" where they mistakenly think our rights come from. :blownose:

Without God, our Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War victory, there would be no nation and no Constitution, All that precedes our Constitution is inherent in it, especially God given rights. Not to mention that our same Founding Fathers spirits, hearts, minds, hands and energies were instrumental throughout it all. I can't believe you are unaware of these obvious matters. Do you think a roof is upheld without walls and a foundation, or that a capstone rests upon nothing. Funny that you mention science and ignore the fundamentals of a construct of reason. Or is it simply your goal to tear down and deconstruct that which so many have sacrificed to build (and upon which so many rely), in deference to your own blindness and spiritual constipation. The casual dismissal of our Founding Fathers motivations reflects not on our Founding Fathers, but on those doing the dismissing. Especially when done with the very liberties won for them by our founders.

The Declaration of Independence is our nations founding document. It set the character of our nation, who we are, why we sought independence and the values and God given rights that we all who are Americans hold dear.

Eric Metaxas believes that culture is at a “paradigm-shifting moment,” with science and archeology increasingly pointing to the existence of God — and those opposed to Christianity aren’t “going to like it."

“We've all lived at a time when not only is the trend that science is pointing us away from God, but we've been living for over 100 years with the narrative that says, science is fundamentally at odds with faith, that reason is at odds with religion,” the Christian author, speaker and conservative radio host told The Christian Post.

“The one thing everybody kept saying — science is leading us away from religion. Ironically, in the last 50 years, precisely the opposite has happened. Science is leading us to God. It's big news."

In his latest book, Is Atheism Dead? Metaxas uncovers new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe. He draws on the insights of top scientists and five scientific discoveries to prove that atheism is untenable…

Your grasp of HISTORY is sorely lacking.

Go ahead and QUOTE from your bible those "rights" that are "inherent" and then give us all EXAMPLES of when your IMAGINARY "creator" UPHELD them when they were VIOLATED?
