Ivermectin is a drug not a political party.

Sadly most people are more easily persuaded by anecdote than data. Fortunately the people who are persuaded by data are the ones who research hand develop treatments. Anecdote people living in a data world only ever tend to be correct by accident or luck.

    Where are the objective studies?
I worked for the V.A. and witnessed falsified study results
    from Milwaukee and Los Angeles.

I want objective studies where the science is blinded from
the funded scientists. Or believe Valium is not prone to abuse nor addictive.

I don’t know whether these things work or not, but there is an institutional bias against using a 5 cents a dose treatment vs a $500 a dose patented treatment. Having said that, when big pharma supports you, are you really going to recommend testing the nickel a dose remedy to see if it works?

Don't be silly. There's been several studies investigating Ivermectin, including the very big one I just quoted. It's just that IT. DOESN'T. WORK.

It is generous of the scientists and medical community to, once again, devote their time and money to undertake this research, given we already knew that Ivermectin is useless in the treatment of Covid.

Yes but the anti-vaxxer simpletons made of Ivermectin a political banner and they believe it works therefore no vaccine is needed, and there is no well-designed large randomized controlled trial that will convince them that it does nothing, because they typically do not understand science and go by invalid anecdotes and their favorite pundits rather than valid trials. People believe in lies such as what @19Crib has just mentioned, that we scientists don't study Ivermectin because it is a cheap drug so we must be in cahoots with Big Pharma to sponsor expensive drugs and vaccines, when there are dozens and dozens of Ivermectin studies and this idea is 100% false. We don't fear cheap repurposed drugs; better proof, dirt cheap dexamethasone was one of the first drugs that got the endorsement of the scientific community for severe Covid-19. What drives us is not politics or drug prices. What drives us is to find what works. When it works (e.g. dexamethasone, Paxolovid) we say so. When it doesn't (e.g. hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin) we say so. It's as simple as that, but the conspiracy theorists will always doubt it. One of the reasons I have been posting way more rarely here, is that I got sick and tired of comments such as 19Crib's. My posting here intended to be some sort of public health announcement to help people understand how to best prepare themselves to fight off this virus, but while a few fellow posters here appreciated my advice and expertise, actually the majority will make nasty comments, and at one point I can't help but think "OK, so be it; let them be misguided and misled by their favorite pundits and conspiracy theorists; I tried, but now I'm out of it." When I see a United States congressman proposing that these vaccines are a crime against humanity that should be tried in The Hague, I cringe and think, this much stupidity doesn't even merit a response, thus my silence of late.

Agreed and politics should never have gotten involved in prescribing medicine

No there isn’t - especially here in Australia and the UK where the government pays and they are highly allergic to spending more than they have to - after all they want to keep all that lovely moolah for spending on softer seating in Canberra and politician “travel rorts”

    https://covid19evidence.net.au/

Do you know what is even CHEAPER than Ivermectin? Lying on your stomach aka “awake proning”. Doesn’t work for everyone but it is as cheap as a couple of pillows - and guess what? It is listed as a treatment option on that government website

So what idiot got the idea that Ivermectin was the conservative drug? Why did they slander and lie about Joe Rogan? Why is the msm still lying?

Provide us examples of this. Who promoted Ivermectin as a cure for covid?

There is nothing scientific about the way the democrats and the msm reported on Ivermectin. They did not wait for clinical data. Because Joe Rogan a vaccine skeptic said he was prescribed the drug they attacked and slandered him.

Yes it is. You just aren’t told about them.

One of the most influential anti vaxxers and ivermectin pushers today is a Bernie Sanders supporting progressive by the name of Bret Weinstein. Don’t believe me? Read up on him. You probably won’t hear about him from your sources of information.
    https://www.wweek.com/news/2021/09/...the-nations-leading-advocates-for-ivermectin/

Weinstein is responsible for most of Rogan’s ideas on Ivermectin.

Then of course you have Robert Kennedy Jr., a Democrat the single most influential anti vaxxer on the planet who has supported Ivermectin use for Covid.

It’s sad the media withholds this information from you. Fortunately there are critical thinkers like me to correct the record. :)

Progressivism IS a scam. It’s based on taking ULTRA conservative positions that have existed for thousands of years to the extreme and telling people it’s “new”.

How did you “kick them out”? Last I checked Kennedy is still identifying as a Democrat and Weinstein is still identifying as a progressive. Just because someone doesn’t always accept science doesn’t make them not a Democrat or progressive. If it did, you could no longer identify as progressive.

Is Kennedy banned from voting or registering as a Democrat? Can Weinstein no longer advocate for democratic socialism? LOL. Kicked out.

    Nope.

Progressivism is a child of the Enlightenment. That's a few centuries ago, but it didn't fully develop before the Modern Era in the 1800s.

Things like universal education, universal health care, and the social safety net are also recent (1800s) and they are not conservative. In fact, the Right fought tooth and nail against most of it.

But thanks, comedy routines like yours are quite entertaining.

LOL. Sparta used universal education in 1000 BC.

State sponsored healthcare dates back to ancient Egypt.

Just as progressives wish to use these practices today to control people and mold society, they were used centuries ago for the same purpose.

Being in favor of stasis and abhorring change is the definition of conservatism. Progressives are conservatives because they wish to use the same methods of societal control as ancient Egyptians and Greeks.

Progressivism loathes liberty, reason and tolerance—the main tenets of the Enlightenment. Apparently history is eschewed by progressives as well….

LOL!! That is the most asinine argument I've ever read here.

Universal healthcare in ancient Egypt?!?! We are talking about the modern world!

Yes, ancient Egypt pioneered government healthcare. That’s why it’s not a progressive idea, it’s an old traditional means of shaping society by elites—just like progressives (really they are conservatives because they want to implement old traditional policies) today.

Modern progressivism is really conservatism rebranded. It’s fooled you and many other “progressives”. Probably because of inferior education on world history provided by government schools.

I’ve posted historical facts to counter the false claim government healthcare and education is a “new” product of the enlightenment. When you call facts asinine that is appeal to the stone fallacy.

~ We know one thing that sure as Hell does not work — the U.S. medical industry, surgical masks, bandannas and the Covid-19 " vaccine " ( therapeutic ) .
USA has vaccinated rate at about 85%.
Over 70% of US Omicron infected are fully vaccinated. This means the vaccinated get Omicron more than the unvaccinated ...!
It also appears the vaccinated get somewhat sicker with Omicron than the unvaccinated.
Then there is the latest spin that the "vaccines" were never intended to prevent Covid-19. THAT IS THE ONLY DAMN REASON LEGITIMATE VACCINES ARE DEVELOPED . Let's just change the definition of " vaccine" — shall we . .? They have failed and the excuses to cover for this failure is medical fraud.
The only science the CDC is interested in is political science.

    No, you don't.

China didn't want to spend money on vaccines, so now they are up poop creek without a paddle.

Of course, that happened in the real world.

You backed the wrong horse, and it left the race track and is currently headed for the North Pole of Centauri...

Not that I am trying to defend this woman (she does have some weird beliefs -- if the statements are true), but you can still be right about certain medical treatments while being wrong about others. Your "hit job" is only a way of dismissing potential valid claims by doing a character assassination on her pointing to her alleged other wild claims.

She has NO credibility. When someone shows you they're a nut, believe them. It is absurd to turn to a nut for science.

Stick with reputable science and scientists and this all makes perfect sense. There is no mystery. There are no conspiracies. It is just science. All of the confusion and nonsense on the right turns to vapor when you open your mind to real science and facts.
