You know how bad life has become when 'they' are trying to censor Russel Brand. A harmless individual is viewed as a security threat within certain circles in the UK. All he does is point to the facts.

And 'they' blindly look past the real war crimes that have taken place for the last 8 years as well as those today committed by nazis....while 'they' continue to support these nazis.

Real witnesses, real crimes at 3:15-7:15 in this video uploaded today.

This would be a good start: "We should also have a vote of no confidence as an option if the government is failing to deliver." Durandal

Yes, but slavery was a severe wound. The Civil War and the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments put a patch on it, but those civil rights amendments were neutralized by the courts after Reconstruction failed.

The Founders knew that no human system can ever perform perfectly.

“I will now add what I do not like. First, the omission of a bill of rights, providing clearly, and without the aid of sophism, for freedom of religion, freedom of the press, protection against standing armies, restriction of monopolies, the eternal and unremitting force of the habeas corpus laws, and trials by jury, in all matters of fact triable by the law of the land, and not by the laws of nations.” THOMAS JEFFERSON, Thomas Jefferson, Letter to James Madison, 1787. I know your position on the issue, which is why I am very curious how you would react to watching that movie?

It is common knowledge that the NYT engaged in State Sponsored Propaganda .. - books have been written about it - NYT has apologized for it. The fact that you didn't know this does not make it false .. what it does mean is that you have obviously never been a part of the intelligence community as you claim .. as all these folks are well aware of this.

Europe proposes ban on Russian coal imports
By Mark Thompson and Chris Liakos, CNN Business
Updated 11:28 AM ET, Tue April 5, 2022

London (CNN Business)Europe is planning to cut deeper into the Russian economy with a new round of sanctions that includes a ban on coal imports. It's also working on sanctions that could target Russian oil.

The measures were announced Tuesday by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and still need the approval of all 27 EU member states.

The bloc has already imposed four rounds of sanctions aimed at punishing Russian President Vladimir Putin and his government for ordering the invasion of Ukraine. The fifth round follows recent revelations of atrocities in Ukraine.

Baby steps, but at least they're steps in the right direction.

What it means is that your post is a falsehood.
My career is not the topic, but I retired at general officer rank and proudly had a hand in the defeat of the Soviet Union in the Cold War.

Is that what it was? That's good. I thought it was a verbal assault on me, with a string of 4-letter-words that you decided was in bad taste and so you removed it.

From what I'm reading, the deaths occurred after the Russians had left and Azov entered. Many of the bodies had on white arm bands which meant they were neutral, and some even had food that was handed to them by the Russians soldiers.

Ukraine will not allow the UN to come in to investigate. A video has appeared where one of the Ukrainians asks if they can kill the men who are not wearing a blue arm band, and he is told yes.

The evil that prevails is unbelievable.

Why don't you ask the people living in Mariupoll exactly who has been killing them and who has been using them as human shields , but that would be an inconvenient fact I guess.

One has to wonder sometimes where people's consciences are. That is if it even exists.

Zelenskyy calls for a Nuremberg-style tribunal to investigate and prosecute Russian war crimes (msn.com)

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for a Nuremberg-style tribunal to investigate and prosecute Russian war crimes in a Tuesday speech before the United Nations Security Council.

"The Russian military and those who gave them orders must be brought to justice immediately for war crimes in Ukraine," Zelenskyy said in a nearly 20-minute speech before the international forum.

Zelenskyy's appearance before the United Nations Security Council follows Ukrainian claims that at least 300 civilians were tortured and killed in Bucha by Russian troops. The bodies were discovered after Moscow withdrew its troops from the suburb near Ukraine's capital. Zelenskyy described the aftermath in Bucha, which he saw firsthand on Monday, as a "genocide" and accused Russia of war crimes.

"The massacre in our city of Bucha is only one, unfortunately, only one of many examples of what the occupiers have been doing on our land for the past 41 days," Zelenskyy said, adding that "the world has yet to see" what Russia has done elsewhere in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy knows what he's doing and knows what he wants, and I don't blame him for this. His Ukraine was being demolished by Putin's Russian forces and it's turned into a living hell. What Putin is doing is wrong and if Zelenskyy thinks this way and he probably would be and the rest of the Ukrainian people that support it, I will agree and support this. Zelenskyy is one of the good guys.

well, yeah, but I was more curious watching the movie, (a) who in the movie you were rooting for, if any? and (b) you think some suits you call the "opposition" to Assad would be the ultimate winners if what you want had happened, or instead folks like the ones in the movie?

Why would Zelensky be asking for an investigation and not letting the UN in to investigate, Jeannette?

P.S. All those different fonts are annoying.

The time to take action in Syria was early 2012, when Asad's opponents were still the "democratic opposition" and before the radical Islamists took over the war. I didn't really root for anyone in the movie.

1- you think the "democratic opposition" (sic) would be the one capable to bring down Assad without these other folks? and how long would they last before these folks took over? longer than the US trained Iraqi army when ISIS was near the gates of Baghdad before Iran intervened?
2- what made you not see good v evil even in a movie, leaving you indifferent and not rooting for that father and son?
