I don't know how true these posts are. Western media cannot be trusted. We'll find out soon.
At least, I have not found official confirmation of this fact.
It is reliably known about the presence of NATO instructors in the Mariupoel region surrounded by Russians (I came across a video with corpses where, according to the documents found, instructors of the French Foreign Legion were present.) But I did not find reliable information about the capture of the US general. Maybe the Russians will not advertise this fact in connection with political bargaining .... We'll see.
I can report that there are many Turkish and French representatives of NATO in Mariupol. Therefore, Macron and Erdogan are persuading Putin to give a way out of the encirclement. Naturally, is referred to "concern for the population" and other nonsense.
But you and I know very well the true reason for their concern - the casus belli. With unpredictable consequences.

I will give you a hint, it's not true at all.

LOL... A three star general is not on the ground in Ukraine.

The Russian propaganda is just as pathetic as their military.

I am glad that you agree with the American presidents and call the Western media fake news.
But do the Western media never write true information? Or do you accuse the author of lying only when you don't like the information?
However .... Ostriches hide their heads in the sand.

I am not the author of the article. But my post also contains my opinion. Maybe you should read the post first? Unless, of course, you can understand what you read.

Did you look at the other "articles" on that site? It looks more like a conspiracy theorist's page.

Besides, a Google search of the general doesn't show anything except that article and the next few pages are about his appointment to the position in 2020. Any validity to this would have made some "noise" in almost 24 hours.

Yea, because Americans never promote Russian propaganda.

You should have put two seconds of thought into it before you made a fool out of yourself.

Maybe if they had picked some obscure lower ranked officer it would have taken more than reading a sentence to debunk. Try harder next time.

You and your ostriches. I take all media with a grain of salt. I assume governmental information is a lie, regardless of the government or the statement. I tend to trust my common sense above all else. The U.S. military is smart enough not to have any of their people in Ukraine at the moment. There were some there for training purposes but they have been removed, assuming either you or I believe that government information. Common sense tells me that your position is more fake than mine. So I will stick with my position.

Having said all that, why would it matter if a U.S. Army general were in Ukraine? Would he be a threat to Russia in some way?

Read my comment on the article. I also talk about this.
By the way, I pointed out in the post that the Western media is fake news. What claims are you making to me?

I've read your post and your source. Both are useless and lack supporting evidence.

Also, your source is not "western media." You really seem to struggle with separating personal websites and blogs from actual news media.

If you do not trust the media, then at least you should have read my commentary on the article. And only after that make claims to me, if any. Is not it?
But you did not read my comment on the article, where I write that I did not find confirmation of this information.
In other words, you attack a person without knowing his opinion. You are a priori aggressive.

No. This is how you made yourself look. But if you read my comment on the article, you would be more restrained. And looked smarter than now.

I'm not reading a wall of text. You need to use paragraphs if you want your comments read.
I don't like Trump and I don't buy into his "fake news" saying.
I didn't claim anything. I commented on the link. The article and the site both look suspicious.

American presidents don't say that all Western media are fake, that's false (again). One former American president called the MSM in the US 'fake', that's a big difference.
Regarding the OP, bs as always. One quick check on that hal turner website says it all. The reason there's no confirmation might be because it's bs. In the meantime, Russia is liberating Ukraine from Nazis and fascism, is protecting people from a genocide, doesn't attack civil targets or residental areas and is making progress as planned, and, of course, did never attack Ukraine (Lavrov) in the first place. The Kremlin cannot even lie coherently.

Years ago, there was a report on one of the evening investigative report shows (ie. Dateline, etc.). They were talking about email scams and how the scammers are not all in Africa but practically all over the world. The interesting part was that the scammers deliberately use bad sentence structure, misspelled words and other obvious things because they don't have enough manpower to reply to too many targets so they know the ones that make contact are more likely to be gullible and/or oblivious.

I'm not making a judgment call on anyone in this thread (or forum). It's just surprising to me that anyone would think an officer of that rank in that scenario wouldn't be plastered everywhere around the world if there was any hint of it being remotely true.

I read that. But you posted the misinformation anyway. That is my point. Yes I am aggressive. I have been all my life.

There have been multiple attempts to evacuate AZOV Nazi leaders, the Americans and French that are trapped in Mariupol....this has been spoken about for a couple of days. President Macron went so far as asking President Putin to allow them to escape. Putin refused.

When you align with Nazis, you get what you get.

At least 4 helicopters have been shot down thus far trying to fetch Kiev's Nazis. When the truth comes out, don't be surprised that NATO forces are in Mariupol.

Just because they fly the occasional flag and people claim they are doesn't make them Nazis

But you are afraid to answer questions. However, this was to be expected.
By the way, this is just the beginning.
Today I read that the crazy people in the EU have come up with more sanctions against Russia. So prepare for the worst.
Crazy Ursula von der Leyen announced proposals for new measures as part of the fifth round of EU sanctions against Russia. It includes the following possible options:
    1. A ban on the import of coal from Russia. (are you ready for a new increase in electricity tariffs?)
    2. Ban on timber imports from Russia. (By the way, I read it on a Chinese forum. The Chinese laugh at the Europeans - he says that the feeble-minded European greens yelled to forbid the Chinese to use wooden chopsticks, but now they decided to heat with firewood.)
    3. Russian ships will be prohibited from entering the ports of the European Union, except for the supply of energy resources and food. (I wonder why half measures - ban totally)
4 Prohibition of export to Russia of semiconductors, machinery and transport equipment. (prepare for a rise in unemployment and, as a result, a rise in crime)
    5. Termination of the participation of Russian companies in procurement in the EU (see point 4)
To summarize all of the above, we should expect a new round of rising prices for everything in the EU, with a simultaneous increase in unemployment and crime. We should also expect an increase in protests.
I have a strong impression that the US is fighting not with Russia, but with the EU. And I think that European officials share in the destruction of Europe.
