Person sets themselves on fire in front of Supreme Court building in DC

    He apparently died from his injuries. There are a lot of articles saying he "tried" to set himself on fire, but it sounds like he did more than try, he succeeded. Given the location, I assume this was a political protest of some sort. I'm not sure if the media is just suppressing it, or if they really don't know why he did it. Either way, kind of sad: dude decides to go out in a blaze of glory to draw attention to some issue he was passionate about, and after all that, people are just left scratching their heads, wondering why.

    Has anyone found any explanation / motive / reason?

    No indication yet. Until the phone or computer data is subpoenaed, reviewed, and analyzed, we will need to wait for the DC police and Capitol Police to provide additional details. The only information out there was that the person was from Colorado and his name is Wynn Bruce from Boulder.

    If he had a Twitter / Facebook / Instagram account, I suspect details from it will be leaked long before the police finish their investigation.

    If you remember, the Arab Spring started after some guy set himself on fire. At least I think it was the Arab Spring. It will be interesting to compare and contrast both events.
