    This is interesting if true.

I'm still looking to see a live visual of Gerasimov since his "light injury" a week ago or so.....til then I will assume his injuries are more serious and he's in ICU somewhere....or he's dead....along with the others pictured here.

so as far as the "Doctrine" is concerned the owner could talk the talk but not walk the walk......which kindda encapsulates most of the elements of Putin's Russia

I believe Putin has come to the conclusion that Gerasimov et al have all performed well for the Motherland recently and deserve a time of rest. My understanding is that sumptuous accomodations near to the Luxury Hot Springs Spas of Lake Polonium have been reserved for all of them while the highly trained and solicitous staff eagerly awaits their arrival

not a great fan of the Mirror but link thereto... upload_2022-5-13_15-34-58.png

All good stuff...okay so....we have the Commander of the Black Sea Submerged Flotilla, Admiral Igor Osipov, now removed from his post and arrested...can't think why....also Commander of the 6th Army, Lieutenant General Vladislav Ershov, has reportedly been fired...probably literally and against a wall..Commander of the tank army of the western military district, Lieutenant General Sergei Kisel and one of the deputy commanders as well as the Commander of the 22nd Army Corps of the Southern Military District, Major General Arkady Marzoev they are also rumoured to have been suspended...again probably literally from a rusting pipe in the cellar of the Lubyanka.

These now follow the possible removal/suspension from duties of Chief of the Russian general staff, Valery Gerasimov whose absence was notable from the "Victory Day" Parade. The lack of the ever popular fly past...on a reasonably sunny day...'due to weather' was another notable event...also notable is the total absence of the Air Force over Ukraine, there's all those dumb peasant squaddies peering into the sky wondering "where the fukc is my air support!!" as another drone piloted by some 14 year old nerd plops another 3D printed grenade into his dugout.

So followed by the startling revelations that people were paid to take part in the (nudge nudge) "spontaneous" march by (wink wink) "enthusiastic" crowds just exacerbates the increasingly accumulating evidence that all is not tickerty-boo in the state of Putin's Russia...hmmm...so who to blame that on I wonder?

First it was the turn of FSB and his Intelligence folk and now the Russian General Staff appearing to be taking the rap and being herded up as scapegoats for the steadily unfolding military crapfest in Ukraine; uneasy must also be the heads of those upon whom Putin's power rests...the Oligarchs have been karking lately at an alarming rate and in rather odd circumstances...various corporate bosses and their families in Gazprom and VTB bank etc mysteriously dying of state enforced suicide in their luxurious Spanish villas and palacial Moscow flats....El Supremo's gentle reminder probably..picture a mad man stroking his white cat... "You defy me at your peril you miserable worms!"....I wonder when the Novichok be liberally distributed in perfume bottles? Trouble is this is all El Supremo's planning and managment....CONOPS obviously not a strong point of his. Well to be fair to him it was only supposed to be a 3 day pootle down the motorway to Kyiv...at the end of winter...the start of the mud season!!?? Hmmm...wasn't the timing a bit off d'ya think? Ah but a bit of Chinese rectal massage was required wasn't it..probably Putin's decision to delay the invasion at Xi's request...didn't want to divert attention from the Olympics. Maybe that's what took the invasion into less than optimal weather window and one of many micromanagement issues that began this sad little saga.

Talking of management and misjudgements...lets have wee pog at El Supremo's the complete misjudgement of the West's reaction. Presumably there was an assumption that his teflon exterior would would get him through without too much Western backlash; the assumption being that in 2014 all there was was a bit of harrumphing from the west but little else so it was probably assumed that completing the job would not cause much more than a little foot stamping and a high blood pressure, since all the Useful Idiots like Trump, Farrage and Le Penn, Germany etc. had done a sterling job bolstering El Supremo's teflon credentials. So, the assumption was that there would be US/Biden's reluctance to step up to this latest aggression and when the phone call came from the US he'd have his secretary pick up the blower and "Ah Mr. Biden nice to hear from you, Mr. Putin is out stronking his stuff at the moment may I take a message?". Well that din't go according to plan huh! Also, he completely missed the UK's immediate military assistance that was so far ahead of the reluctantly trailing EU,(that had become so heavily dependent upon Russian oil and gas), that must have been a most unwelcome surprise to the poor sod. Mind you France and Italy and Germany have lived up to expectations.

Then enter stage left....the crippling sanctions, that had been threatened, and then were actually (amazingly) followed through (almost anyway) with the exception of the EU which is finding ever more inventive ways of by-passing their own sanctions in order to keep feeding the Russian war machine and their own need for oil having figured out that windmills don't actually generate much power after all!. Also the self inflicted destruction of Russia's civil aviation by the theft of leased aircraft, suspension from the SWIFT, and the cherry on the cake...the abysmal performance of Russia's armed forces has been an ongoing nightmare for El Supremo.

All the ground work laid by the UI's in the previous years, trying to de-stabalise NATO and the EU and...well everything really has just gone down the crapper; Putin's plan for the Russian resurgence and world domination is looking a tad flaccid. Instead we have the massive build-up of NATO forces in the Baltic and Poland etc. that has been triggered by his invasion; it cannot be disguised from his senior military commanders who must have been aware of how light it was before but now....jeez...re-planning time but with what? Most of the first echelon kit is lying banjaxed in Ukraine and being wombled up by the Ukrainian Special tractor Corps and recycled by a legion of eastern pikkies and Ebay having a glut of 2nd hand T-72s for sale!. The reserve kit having already been sold or just basically useless rusting scrap lying in fields in the Urals - thats the trouble with being one of the most corrupt countries on the planet I suppose? What you're told you have, in actual fact you don't....so if there was a mobilisation then I supposes it would be something like..."the first one takes the rifle and shoots!!...The second one follows and when the first one dies....the second one picks up the rifle and shoots!!!"

Then there's the upcoming addition to NATO by Finland and Norway and probably Sweden as a direct result. This may have all been hidden from the Russian public...like most things....then re-spun Surkov fashion and presented to them as an attack by the West...again those pesky Westerners attacking our peaceful land of purity and straightness....but those higher up in the Military will all be aware of the reality. That this has all been self inflicted and lays right at the door of a rather twitchy and possibly totally mad @rsehole Putin.

So to piss on his fire a little bit more Putin's latest wet dream has flown the coop and instead all that's left is a potential nightmare that his demise is increasingly likely to come from within Russia. Maybe time to have his estate manager look into the possibility of renting Idi Amin's old palace in Saudi...and make sure the health insurance is fully paid up.

It could happen to any little dick-tator :D Yeah, it's really something how Putin just blew his years and years of efforts to destabilize the west and weaken and destroy NATO. That investment is largely gone. He still has his kooky audience who believe everything his trolls put out, of course, but he has really gone too far by actually trying to take over another country wholesale through military conquest. He has made it too hard for right-wingers in free countries to seriously stand by him the way they were doing. Even Ronald Klump is probably done praising him. Even Viktor Orban can't credibly go on being Europe's little Putin. Right-wingers, who have long been Putin's favored targets for disinformation, will be left weak and in disarray in the wake of all this. The little botox dictator was their champion, their role model, their beacon of hope in a world of evil Marxist libruls. Now Russia may well experience a regime change and even a revolution that puts the evil Marxist libruls in charge of a free and democratic system before all is said and done. Right-wing movements in the West will suffer from Putin's loss of prestige, of that image of cunning and superiority over the degenerate libruls in the West, and, eventually, his position of power in Russia, if not his freedom or even his very life.

And all because Putin got too ambitious, overestimated his chances by badly underestimating Ukraine and the West, who have all sprung on him like a well-oiled trap, and blundered into becoming the next Hitler and turning Russia into the world's largest pariah state and, to some extent, foe to be vanquished.

yeah Trump was just a pathetic little orange avatar for Putin trying to insulate himself from culpability through 3rd parties - it still amazes me today how certain Americans could have swallowed up hook line and sinker all the rubbish he was gibbering...and then elect him as president ffs!!! Putin must have been on the Louis XIII that night....mind you saying that....Farrage was another major success story a la Brexit...but that would only have been an amuse bouche for getting the French to elect Le Penn....which went slightly wrong in the end but Macron is doing a great job at doing nothing so maybe its an inadvertent win? But never mind he got the Germans with Gazprom and Nordstream and Austria. Putin invested a load of cash..hundreds of millions in the destabilisation exercise of NATO and the EU but Trump was the top banana. Ripping up TPP and the laying the path for the China trade issues was clever stuff....the Trump vote just swallowed it up. Based on his earlier success Ukraine was supposed to be easy but jeeezuz he underestimated Zelensky...christ on a bike that guy has shown some guts as have the whole of the Ukraine....gotta love heart felt homegrown kinetic reciprocity.

The center and left in America do need to find a spine and start hitting back at the radicals who have taken over the GOP, that's for sure. The right has gone right where Putin has wanted them to go so far.

It is telling that Trump's first reaction to Putin's invasion was to praise him and the first reponse of many of his supporters was to defend his praise of Putin. Its easy to see why Putin wanted him as US President.
