Courts don't make laws... Democrats don't make laws... nor the Governor ... laws are done in the legislative branch.

What exactly is the "constitutional crisis?" That a Republican might win the governorship?

You must be unaware of who Mastriano is and the positions he holds dear. Reading thru the thread will help.

Unfortunately we already know the answer. Civil war is possible, but more just as likely is ethnic cleansing, lynchings, terrorist attacks, etc. we will see a lot of political violence in states that can no longer be democratic.

The answer is readily available to you on this thread. Don't be afraid to look for it.But given your track record you likely won't.

It seems that it should be an easy question to answer, "What exactly is the "constitutional crisis?"

Instead of answering, you actually took time to reply to my comment saying that you were not going to answer it and I should hunt for it. Are you that bored that you feel the need to respond to posts not meant for you in order to say you won't respond to the post?

    Heh!

Still whining about not being spoon fed info that's obvious if you take the time to read through a short thread? Geesh.

You still can't say what the constitutional crisis is.

And it wasn't even your problem until you decided to make it your issue by challenging my gall at dare asking what constitutional crisis the OP was going on about. My guess is that you don't really know and couldn't answer the question anyway and simply felt like trolling.

    Well...congrats?

You read post # 12 and you still can't figure it out? One of the two major parties in the country is fielding candidates for high level state offices who participated in an effort to replace the real slates of electors from the states they live in with a fake slate of electors. Which was part of the effort to illegitimately install Don as the prez for a second term. https://whyy.org/articles/fake-electors-trump-overthrow-election-2020/

I can read your own post but I'm curious as to what the OP thinks, that's why I replied to his comment. I want to know if he thinks the fact that Mastriano running for governor is " the worst constitutional crisis since the Civil War."

You of course thinks every Republican who runs is a constitutional crisis.

There is no greater sign of a failed argument than having to make false claims, like you did, about what your debate opponent thinks. I may disagree with Repubs who run for office but their running isn't a crisis. Running for office after being involved in submitting fake slates of electors as part of a coup plot, that's another matter.

Voter 'subversion': Trump Republicans push laws to make it easier to change elections, per report

WASHINGTON - Donald Trump-style Republicans in more than 30 states are pushing new laws that basically would make it easier for them to steal future elections, according to a new report provided to USA TODAY by a group of voting rights organizations.

"This trend increases the risk of a crisis in which the outcome of an election could be decided contrary to the will of the people," said the report compiled by three organizations: States United Democracy Center, Protect Democracy, and Law Forward.

Victoria Bassetti, a senior adviser with the States United Democracy Center and one of the authors of the report, described the efforts as "election subversion," and called the idea a "new and dangerous attack on democracy."

With 50 proposals passed since the organizations started tracking them at the start of 2021, Bassetti said that "systematic election subversion like we have found is really new."

The January 6 event was not an insurrection.

The US Constitution was rendered null and void when the Unpatriot Act was passed 20 years ago.

Your OP is faulty in its premises.

You explicitly accused the poster of a “call to civil war”. That’s your extremist interpretation colored by your views and not what he wrote.

False claims? You mean my characterization of your GOPphobia. That hardly qualifies as a false claim, but...since that's the standard, I declare your statement, "running for office after being involved in submitting fake slates of electors as part of a coup plot, that's another matter," is a false claim.

-You didn't qualify the standards of a "constitutional crisis"
-You didn't specify and actual crimes, indictments, or convictions of the official in question
-You didn't prove via indictment or conviction that he committed a crime that would disqualify him for office.

So my advice to you is twofold:

    Stop making false claims
Allow representative democracy to work itself out

awww are you worried about voter fraud? Aww that’s so cute
No worries. I’m sure they will find no evidence of “widespread” fraud
But whatever you do don’t dare protest over it because you will be accused of “insurrection “

    see how easy that is?!

Taken out of context? You quoted only two words of my post:

I notice you do this when you are on the losing end of any discussion (which happens frequently) and can't respond so you edit my posts down to the point where you are simply making a speech. The real lesson for you is that you shouldn't try to argue with people who are way more intelligent and informed than you are.

However if you could control yourself like that you wouldn't have to edit out nearly all content of someone's posts would you?

Did you forget you wrote this? "You of course thinks every Republican who runs is a constitutional crisis."

That's the false claim to which I referred. If you hadn't noticed, you aren't having much success squirming your way out of this.
