When trump was in office in 2020 gas was 2.12 a gallon. Under. Lying biden long before putin invaded gas was 3.50 a gallon .
I mentioned this just because lying Biden is blaming it all on russia.
Yet Putin. Had not invaded yet
Some people say by august fuel will go to 6.00 a gallon nation wide . i doubt that but I do see it hitting 5 bucks a gallon .

Diesel is now $5.59 a gallon. Plan on inflation to rise also.

It's kind of hard to sell these stupid electric cars if gas is not sky high and I don't believe it's by accident

Except the oil companies making record profits on these gas prices have no vested interest in people using electric cars. However, they do have a vested interest in the record profits these gas prices are bringing them. If that was not the case, their profits should be more or less the same as before unless the cost of gas has risen higher than the expense of the higher oil prices justify.

Joe Biden does deserve a slice of the blame for his oil policies, but these gas prices are absolutely not something that can be placed on Joe Biden alone. There's more at play here and the best way to find out what's really going on is to see who's profiting the most from it.

I think we are Americans are largely spoiled on our vehicles. Everyone feels the need to drive these 5,000 lb trucks around and these SUVs... Then they complain about the price of gas.

I have a 6 cylinder Chrysler Dodge van. I also have a 79cc motorized bicycle. My work is 4 MI away. If the weather is good I will always ride my bicycle.

Not only does it go one mile on 1 oz of gasoline but it also helps me save wear and tear on the van and cut down on my gas bill. But far too many people are too spoiled to ever consider something like that.

No I will use the van if I'm taking the missus somewhere I need to haul a bunch of stuff but I do use the bike as much as possible.

In fact I'm going to a dealership tomorrow where I may buy a real motorcycle. I'll have to go and get my motorcycle endorsement on my driver's license but I can do that.

I'm telling you it's all by design to push us into these little electric vehicles.

There is no shortage of gasoline.

My bike gets a hundred miles on three quarters of a gallon.

Of course the manufacturers claim may be a bit optimistic so maybe I'll only get 90

Right? When orange man was in charge we were energy INDEPENDANT.

FFS. If the thought here was to save the environment this the EXACT opposite against that excuse. This is bullshit.

That contraption may be saving you money, but it's not saving the planet.

It's got no catalytic converter, and it's a small enough engine that its emissions aren't regulated like automobile engines are, so it's allowed to belch out carbon monoxide, nitrous oxides (which cause smog formation and acid rain), and hydrocarbons, and belch out lots of pollution it does indeed, because it's basically a souped-up lawnmower.

It's emitting a lot less than a typical automobile.

It burns all of one ounce of gasoline to go 1 mi.

It'll be hitting $5 next weekend being a holiday weekend. I expect it to peak in the 7's in some places but probably $6.50 nationally at some point.

    Exactly!
Are you suggesting that it's OK to blame all on Biden but big oil, the oil demand cut during Covid, supply issues and Vlad's war have no role in the current gas price and inflation but it 's quite fine to post up record profits because of shareholders? So you want to have it both ways for the cudgel effect!?
