Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court justice, pressed Ariz. lawmakers to help reverse Trump’s loss, emails show

Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the conservative activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, pressed Arizona lawmakers after the 2020 election to set aside Joe Biden’s popular-vote victory and choose “a clean slate of Electors,” according to emails obtained by The Washington Post.

The emails, sent by Ginni Thomas to a pair of lawmakers on Nov. 9, 2020, argued that legislators needed to intervene because the vote had been marred by fraud. Though she did not mention either candidate by name, the context was clear.

Just days after media organizations called the race for Biden in Arizona and nationwide, Thomas urged the lawmakers to “stand strong in the face of political and media pressure.” She told the lawmakers the responsibility to choose electors was “yours and yours alone” and said they have “power to fight back against fraud.”

One question that arises from this is.........is Clarence delusional too? When his wife rants on about the election being stolen from the Orange Fraud does he quietly appease the Crazy or does he join in?

An observation. Even if we have guardrails for the ethical behavior of elected officials, judges, their wives, people in government generally, this democracy just doesn't work if people ignore them. Many are unenforceable. We found that out when Don crashed through them on a regular basis. It's why this article was written.

To a certain extent we must rely on the good character, perceived common purpose, and willingness to stay between the lines of government officials or this experiment in democracy will fail. Sadly, it is failing.

One of the dangers of the onslaught of abhorrent, previously unthinkable, aggressively anti-democratic behavior surrounding 1/6 and the Trump presidency is that we have lost the capacity for outrage commensurate with the behavior. At some point it is disorienting. Audacious events have become commonplace. We forget just how bad they are compared to the pre-Trump era. The deluge is intellectually/emotionally exhausting.

Imagine my surprise that no one on the Right wants to discuss the wife of a SCJ, who ruled on cases having to do with turning over damaging info on her, being involved in fomenting Trump's coup. All by virtue of her delusional belief in the Big Lie. Hey, I get it. I'd want to stay away from that one too.

Just to complete the story, one of the recipients of Ginni's batshyte crazy e-mail was the speaker of the AZ House, Rusty Bowers. Recognizing her batshyte crazy e-mail was batshyte crazy, he didn't respond. It's not the first time he refused to cooperate with the Crazy.

Yet in Arizona this week, the unlikeliest of characters just stepped forward with a palm raised to the forces of Donald J. Trump.

When right-wing lawmakers there pushed a bill that would have given the Republican-controlled Legislature the power to unilaterally reject the results of an election and force a new one, Rusty Bowers said no.

Meh, we all know the democrat legacy of slavery, racism, and voter fraud. Dems have been cheating in elections for decades. The last election the dems went full blast corrupt.

No way Biden got that many votes.
